On May 3rd and 4th, students from ESEG – Faculdade do Grupo Etapa had the opportunity to experience one of the pillars of individualized student support: employability. Through the workshop “Simula ESEG – Private Careers”, students were able to participate in simulated job interviews, understood how and why to create a good resume, and received guidance on the correct use of LinkedIn and social media, in addition to having a photo session for this purpose.
The coordinator of the Career Development Center (CDC), Simone Bortoletto, explained that the workshop arose from the proposal to prepare our students for real selection processes and, upon completion, enable them to apply for opportunities offered by partner companies. “When starting their career development, many of our students feel anxious and don't know what they will encounter in selection processes. Therefore, in addition to the work we do at the CDC, the workshop aims to provide experience in these processes, enable learning through individual feedback – where it's possible to identify their main characteristics – and enhance those who meet the needs of the company offering an opportunity,” explained Simone.
On that occasion, ways for students to stand out in selection processes were also discussed, as well as possible career paths in their chosen field of study at private companies.
In addition to sharing insights into the culture and values of Stefanini Brasil – a Brazilian multinational company present in 41 countries with over 30,000 employees – bilingual recruitment specialist Michele Oliveira spoke about entering the job market and the challenges of the first job. “We had a very enriching exchange during the workshop about this unique moment in the lives of young students. I feel very happy and fulfilled to be able to bring a little more confidence and tips about the recruitment and selection process to future professionals,” she highlighted.
The event also offered the opportunity to participate in a simulated group selection process. The evaluation results will be presented later, based on individual feedback sessions scheduled by the CDC. Furthermore, outstanding students may be invited to participate in the official selection process for Stefanini Brasil, depending on available positions.
This is how ESEG students can get ahead in the competition for the best jobs in the market, with in-depth knowledge of both theory and practice!
