ESEG Faculty Library

The ESEG Faculty Library, part of the Etapa Group, is a space dedicated to study, research, and reading, and aims to preserve and disseminate information to faculty and students.

Its collection specializes in the areas of Administration, Production Engineering, Computer Engineering, Law, and Economics. It includes multimedia materials, books, reference works, undergraduate theses, dissertations, periodicals, as well as bibliographies that provide basic and supplementary support to the subjects taught in the courses offered by the Faculty.

The library has rooms for individual and group study, and computers are available for students.

The technical processing of the works is done using the Dewey Decimal Classification and the Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules – AACR2.

The journal Administração: Ensino e Pesquisa – RAEP is the first Brazilian academic journal that seeks to disseminate the state of the art in teaching and research in Administration. Published quarterly by the National Association of Undergraduate Courses in Administration (ANGRAD), its target audience is the academic community composed of students, professors, researchers, and academic managers of courses and programs in Administration. It has a Qualis A3 rating.

The Portal of Electronic Scientific Journals (PPEC) of the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) was created to address the need for a single platform that brings together all journals edited and produced within the University. Its main objective, therefore, is to guarantee and support the quality and visibility of scientific journals published by UNICAMP's institutes, faculties, centers, research groups, and complementary bodies, peer-reviewed and institutionally linked to the University, ensuring institutional and regional diversity and free access for the entire scientific community.

Bimonthly publication of the National Association of Postgraduate Programs in Administration. Publishes articles on theoretical development and theoretical-empirical works in the areas of Administration and Accounting Sciences. Holds a Qualis A2 rating.

The Revista de Administração de Empresas (RAE), published by the Getúlio Vargas Foundation – School of Business Administration of São Paulo, is the first Brazilian scientific journal in the field, launched in May 1961 and published uninterruptedly since then. It is a pioneering, cutting-edge periodical that has established itself as a reference publication in the academic and scientific community, standing out at the highest levels of quality and academic rigor. RAE is a generalist journal in the field of Administration, aimed at professors, researchers, and students.

The Journal of Public Administration (RAP), in its broad area of Administration, Accounting Sciences and Tourism, has the mission of promoting the debate of relevant topics in the field of Administration, based on interdisciplinary and critical perspectives, aiming to establish an open-access academic space through the publication of qualified articles. It has a Qualis A2 rating.

A quarterly, open-access, and completely free publication of the Álvares Penteado School of Commerce Foundation – FECAP, it emerged in 2004 as the successor to the Álvares Penteado Journal. It is a vehicle dedicated to disseminating and promoting scientific debate in Administration and Accounting. It has a Qualis A2 rating.

The Electronic Journal of Administration – REAd, created in 1995 and published by the School of Administration of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, was the first electronic journal in the field in Latin America. It has a Qualis A3 rating.

Quarterly publication of the Department of Administration of the Faculty of Economics, Administration and Accounting of the University of São Paulo (FEA-USP). Publishes articles by national and international authors, selected based on criteria of originality, quality and creativity in a double-blind review process. Holds a Qualis A2 rating.

Cadernos EBAPE.BR is an online journal focused on the field of Administration, sponsored by the Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration of the Getulio Vargas Foundation. It was first published online in 2003 with the mission of modernizing the Cadernos EBAP series. Published quarterly, its objective is to promote debate on relevant topics in Administration. Its editorial line is based on interdisciplinary and critical perspectives. It has a Qualis A2 rating.

BAR – Brazilian Administration Review, one of the most traditional scientific journals in the field, publishes articles on theoretical development and empirical work in the broad area of Administration. It was launched in 2004 with an international scope in terms of themes, target audience, and editorial board. It has a Qualis A2 rating.

The Brazilian Business Review – BRB focuses primarily, but not exclusively, on publishing works related to administration, accounting, controllership, finance, business management, information management, innovation management, strategy, and business economics, developed in public, private, or third-sector organizations. It is published by the Fundação Instituto Capixaba de Pesquisas em Contabilidade, Economia e Finanças (FUCAPE). It has a Qualis A2 rating.

Bimonthly journal published by the Federal Administration Council. Open access to all journals since 2012.

The Journal of Management & Technology (RG&T) is an open-access scientific publication, published quarterly, that aims to contribute to the dissemination of scientific knowledge of recognized academic quality in the areas of administration and related fields. It has a Qualis A3 rating.

This is a biannual publication of the Department of Administration at the State University of Maringá (DAD/UEM), and its target audience is researchers and academics in the field of Administration and related areas.

Official journal of the Postgraduate Program (Strictu Sensu) – Academic Master's Degree in Law at IDP. Its objective is to be a space for constant bibliographic updates for the academic community, as well as for the dissemination of works published by the student body. It has a Qualis A1 rating.

The journal Direito em Debate (Law in Debate) is a publication of the Law Degree Program at the Regional University of the Northwest of the State of Rio Grande do Sul – Unijuí, aiming to provide a space for the dissemination of articles that focus on the critical and interdisciplinary study of Law. It has a Qualis B1 rating.

This journal is linked to the stricto sensu Postgraduate Program in Business Law (Doctorate and Master's) at the State University of Londrina, and aims to publish original articles and reviews by authors from national or foreign teaching or research institutions in the area of Business Law, within the following research lines: Business relations in private law; Business relations in public law; Access to justice: resolution of conflicts related to public and private legal transactions involving individual and transindividual interests; Contemporary state: business relations and international relations. It has a Qualis B1 rating.

Journal produced by the Law School of the Getulio Vargas Foundation in Rio de Janeiro. The journal is linked to the Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Program in Regulatory Law at FGV Direito Rio – PPGD. It has a Qualis B1 rating.

A quarterly journal with uninterrupted publications since 1995. NEJ is linked to the Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Program in Legal Science (CAPES concept 6) at the University of Vale do Itajaí (UNIVALI). Its mission is to promote the improvement of studies in the field of Law, especially in the lines of "Constitutionalism and Production of Law", "Law, Jurisdiction and Artificial Intelligence" and "Environmental Law, Transnationality and Sustainability". It has a Qualis A1 rating.

A quarterly journal that seeks to promote access to academic reflection, fostering the exchange of contemporary and interdisciplinary research related to Civil Law. It has a Qualis A3 rating.

Published quarterly, this journal aims to contribute to the expansion of knowledge and the dissemination of research on current and relevant topics. The journal publishes articles that align with the research lines of the Master's and Doctoral programs in Law at UNISC: Contemporary Constitutionalism; Public Policies for Social Inclusion; Instrumental Dimensions of Public Policies; and Diversity and Public Policies. It has a Qualis A2 rating.

A quarterly journal dedicated to publishing articles and other academic works that contribute to the field of Procedural Law (civil, criminal, labor, administrative, international, tax, comparative). It has a Qualis A2 rating.

Launched in September 2015, this journal publishes articles systematically and periodically, and is open to the scientific community for submission, evaluation, and publication of articles whose content aligns with the theme of interaction between Law and Information Technology. It has a Qualis B1 rating.

The journal is the official publication of the Contemporary Civil Law Research Network. It was launched with a broad thematic scope, encompassing the traditional areas of civil law, but also including the history of private law, comparative law, Roman law, legal education and private law, private law and fundamental rights, private law and new rights, civil law and consumer relations, copyright law, industrial property law, as well as the relationship between civil law and institutions and concepts of labor law, procedural law, commercial law, and private international law. It has a Qualis A1 rating.

This free, digital, biannual journal aims to promote the publication of texts on general, sectoral, or administrative procedure law that implicitly or explicitly highlight the relationship between Law, Public Administration, and the development process, primarily in light of one of the following central questions: how do deficiencies in the legal treatment of Public Administration in general (in organizational, procedural, contractual terms, for example) or in specific fields (environment, cities, energy, competition, etc.) generate negative impacts for the State and society?

Journal focused on topics directly related to the areas of concentration of the Postgraduate Program in Law at Dom Helder Higher School (DHES): (1) Environmental Law; and (2) Sustainable Development. It has a Qualis A1 rating.

The Journal of Fundamental Rights and Guarantees has, as its main objective, a commitment to serious and high-quality scientific production in the area of Fundamental Rights and Guarantees.
Our mission is to publish scientific articles of proven quality, reviewed by peers of recognized technical and scientific competence, that address topics related to the area of Fundamental Rights and Guarantees, as well as related themes with which the law interacts and articulates. It is a quarterly publication. It has a Qualis A1 rating.

The journal is a quarterly publication edited since 2011 (print version) by CONPEDI – the National Council for Research and Graduate Studies in Law – which aims to promote the study of the most relevant issues involving constitutional jurisdiction, both nationally and internationally. It has a Qualis A1 rating.

The Brazilian Journal of Law, initially produced by the Law Course of IMED – Faculdade Meridional – Passo Fundo-RS –, has been linked to the IMED's Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Program since 2013. The journal serves as a reference for disseminating research conducted nationally and internationally of interest to stricto sensu postgraduate programs, in line with the journal's research areas. It has a Qualis A1 rating.

Published by UNISINOS, this quarterly publication aims to disseminate scientific articles, reflective articles, and reviews whose content aligns with general themes focused on hermeneutics, constitution, the realization of law, society, new rights, and transnationalization. It has a Qualis A1 rating.

Journal published by the Department of Production Engineering (DEP) of the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar). Publishes original works or those presenting results of studies and research in the field of Production Engineering. Publishes annually in a single volume articles on a continuous basis.

The Engineering Education Journal is a continuously published journal of the Brazilian Association for Engineering Education – ABENGE, aimed at promoting and disseminating engineering education. The articles published in the journal address didactic-pedagogical, scientific, technological, professional, political, and administrative aspects concerning engineering teaching and education.

The journal is a publication of ABEPRO. Created in 1990 for academics and professionals in the field of Production Engineering, its purpose is to be a leading means of communication for the publication of academic articles. From 2014 onwards, the journal has been published in English as an integral part of the internationalization process of Production Engineering knowledge in Brazil.

The journal is a publication of ABEPRO, and aims to qualify and give wide visibility to the scientific production in the area of Production Engineering and related fields. It has a Qualis B2 rating.

This quarterly journal is published by the Postgraduate Program in Production Engineering at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). Its objective is to disseminate knowledge in the areas of Production Management; Quality; Economic Management; Ergonomics and Occupational Safety; Product Engineering; Operations Research; Strategy and Organizations; Technology Management; Information and Knowledge Systems; Environmental Management; and Production Engineering Education.

Logistics & Supply Chain Magazine stands out for its editorial quality and carefully established agenda, aided by a Technical Editorial Board composed of experienced professionals active in the logistics market, with the goal of developing creative and up-to-date articles for its readers.

It is an international journal with the mission of publishing original works in experimental and theoretical research, as well as simulations in the processing, structure, and properties of materials.

It is a quarterly publication of the Brazilian Society for Operations Research (SOBRAPO). Its main objective is to publish articles produced by the Operations Research scientific community in order to promote its integration and the dissemination of scientific knowledge generated within it.

Polímeros is a quarterly publication of the Brazilian Polymer Association – ABPol, which publishes Review Articles, Original Articles and Short Communications, disseminating advances in knowledge of Polymer Science and Technology.

It is a broad-scope, peer-reviewed, open-access international journal covering diverse aspects of the application of science, technology, and engineering.

The magazine, published by the Association of Engineers and Architects of Ponta Grossa, is an online publication focused on research and development in Engineering and Technology.

The journal was founded in January 1936 by students of the School of Mines in Ouro Preto and, since then, has specialized in publishing articles in the areas of Civil Engineering, Geology, Metallurgy & Materials, Mining, and Mechanics & Energy.

It is published under the responsibility of the Institute of Informatics of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul – UFRGS, Brazil. The journal publishes works that showcase the state of the art and trends in the field of computer science and its applications.

It is edited under the responsibility of the Postgraduate Program in Applied Computing (PPGCA) of the University of Passo Fundo and published by Editora UPF. It aims to disseminate national and international scientific productions in the areas of computing applied to agriculture, health, engineering and other areas that require computing as a tool to solve their problems, also serving as an environment that fosters the exchange of experiences and ideas among researchers working in these areas of application.

This is a publication of the Special Committee on Computer Architecture and High-Performance Computing (CEACPAD) of the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC). Its main objective is to disseminate academic and scientific work in the field of Computer Architecture Education.

The magazine publishes Research articles on all aspects of Cloud Computing. Primarily, the articles will address topics that are essential to Cloud Computing, focusing on Cloud applications, Cloud systems, and the advancements that will lead to the Clouds of the future.

The journal publishes original open-access research on data science and data analytics. Deep learning algorithms and all applications of big data are welcome.

The journal's focus is to analyze and synthesize massive datasets to gain new insights into social phenomena and behaviors. Application domains include, but are not limited to, social interaction (including animal societies), economic and financial systems, management and business networks, socio-technical infrastructure, health and environmental systems, the science of science, as well as general forecasting of risk and crisis scenarios up to and including policy advice.

The following services are offered at the ESEG Faculty Library, part of the Etapa Group:

Check

Loans, renewals, reservations and returns of materials: Library loans are made upon presentation of a student ID card, with a limit of 6 (six) items per borrower. Return and renewal deadlines are described in the Library Regulations. Users may renew the same item up to 3 (three) consecutive times, provided there is no reservation for another user or that the item is not overdue. Renewals can be made in person, online, by phone, or by email. Reservations can only be made in person or online.

Literature review: It is a search conducted in national and international databases, which makes it possible to retrieve references on the desired subject.

Cataloging data: The Library offers and provides this service to students finalizing their Graduation Project (TG).

Academic works: In addition to providing the Graduation Paper Preparation Manual, which assists and guides students in preparing their academic work, the Library also offers full support to answer students' questions.

Interlibrary Loans: It consists of a service for exchanging works between libraries to facilitate user access to certain literature that is not available in the Faculty Library.

Library Report: Information dissemination service: Weekly distribution of a newsletter to faculty and students, containing scientific articles from top publications in Brazil and abroad.

The World Digital Library makes maps, texts, photos, recordings, and films from all eras freely available online in multilingual format, and explains the cultural treasures and relics of libraries around the world in seven languages.

It is a repository of scientific articles, whose central focus is to promote access, organization, dissemination, and analysis of scientific production from different areas of knowledge.

It is a service for discovering peer-reviewed, open-access academic books that has over 71,000 books.

It constitutes a virtual environment that allows the collection, integration, preservation, and sharing of knowledge, its main objective being to promote broad access to literary, artistic, and scientific works (in the form of texts, sounds, images, and videos) that are already in the public domain or whose dissemination has been duly authorized and constitute Brazilian and universal cultural heritage.

RCAAP-2

The RCAAP portal aims to aggregate open access scientific content existing in the institutional repositories of national higher education institutions. It constitutes a single point for research, discovery, location, and access to thousands of scientific and academic documents. 

Lume-2

Portal providing access to digital collections produced within the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, as well as other historical documents gathered in this digital repository for wide dissemination. 

OASISBR-2

This Brazilian portal for open access scientific publications is a multidisciplinary search engine that allows free access to the scientific output of authors affiliated with Brazilian universities and research institutes. 

CAPES-2

The Portal of Periodicals of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) is one of the largest virtual scientific collections in the country, bringing together and making available nationally produced content and other content published by international publishers to teaching and research institutions in Brazil. It includes more than 39,000 full-text journals and 396 databases with diverse content, such as references, patents, statistics, audiovisual material, technical standards, theses, dissertations, books, and reference works. 

Accessibility

The ESEG Library is compliant with accessibility standards, providing headphones, an electronic magnifier for users with low vision, a braille keyboard, and a notebook with the following software installed:

NVDA (NonVisual Desktop Access): It allows the user to know what appears on the monitor and uses a voice synthesizer to transmit the information.

VLibras: It is a set of free and open-source tools that translates digital content (text, audio, and video) from Portuguese into Libras (Brazilian Sign Language), making computers, cell phones, and web platforms more accessible to deaf people.
