Giovanni Rubbi Cintra holds a degree in Production Engineering from ESEG and was accepted into the Master's program in Marketing at the University of Porto, Portugal. His career, as a 2018 graduate, began with an internship at Compass Minerals Brazil, followed by a move to Livraria Cultura where he interned in Data Science. Before going to Portugal, Giovanni was a Pricing Analyst at Carrefour Brazil.
The decision to pursue a master's degree outside of Brazil was driven by the quality of education and the number of programs available to Brazilian students. "Furthermore, I intend to move permanently to Europe, and a degree from the University of Porto will help me with that," he states. The graduate plans to finish his master's degree and remain in Europe to pursue a doctorate, as he intends to become a professor at a university.
Regarding the teaching at ESEG, Giovanni says that the Faculty provides a solid foundation of knowledge "not only in the technical aspects, but also in soft skills, which is very important in the professional environment. All the extracurricular activities during the course – tutoring, socio-environmental challenges, complementary training – were a significant factor in my resume being chosen among the other candidates for the master's program.".
“If I could give one piece of advice to all students who want to study in Europe, I would tell them to dedicate themselves fully to their studies, both in required subjects and extracurricular activities. The quality of education that ESEG provides to its students is in no way inferior to the quality of European education, and it was these opportunities that allowed me to be here today,” concludes Giovanni.
