ESEG College hosted Mariana Cardoso, statutory director and Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) of BTG Pactual, and Izabel Santiago, executive director of Regulatory Compliance at the bank, for a conversation with students about leadership, the financial market, and the impacts of digital transformation on organizations.

Held within the context of the ESEG Tech Summit, an initiative that brings students closer to experts and leading professionals in the market, the lecture "Leadership in Digital Transformation Scenarios" addressed the changes that different sectors have been undergoing with the advancement of technology and the importance of professionals prepared to work in increasingly dynamic and multidisciplinary environments.

Presentation: Leadership in Digital Transformation Scenarios

During the meeting, the executives shared experiences from their professional journeys and discussed their work in the Compliance field, dispelling the idea that access to the sector depends exclusively on contacts or referrals. For these professionals, training, dedication, and continuous development are fundamental to building a career.

Another point highlighted was the importance of multidisciplinary teams in the financial market. According to the speakers, professionals from different areas, such as Right, Engineering and Management can contribute to building more comprehensive solutions, especially when faced with challenges that combine business, technology, and regulation.

Digital transformation was also among the main topics of conversation. The executives highlighted the use of artificial intelligence as a tool capable of increasing the efficiency of professionals and supporting analysis and decision-making processes.

Among the possibilities discussed was the creation of analytical and alert models capable of identifying behaviors that require attention.

The lecture also provided a perspective on the differences between the Brazilian and North American markets in the context of investments, broadening the discussion to aspects that influence the performance of professionals in the financial sector in different scenarios.

Throughout the meeting, students were able to actively participate in the conversation and ask questions about the financial market and the area of Compliance, bringing the content discussed in the classroom closer to professional reality.

For Guilherme Borges, a second-semester student of Computer Engineering Department, ESEG College, The experience helped broaden his perspective on the skills expected by the market.

Today, with technology advancing, that expectation has changed. Having such competent and up-to-date people in the field, bringing this perspective and showing what the market expects from us, was a very important experience for my progress throughout the course," the student added.

At the end of the lecture, Mariana Cardoso left some advice for the students of all ESEG degrees"That's the most important part of a career: dedication," he stated.

Izabel Santiago also expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to be with the students and wished them a good start to the semester.
