"Coffee with the Market," a relaxed event that hosted Lucas Brossi, Head of Bain & Company, for a conversation with students.

On September 9, 2026, ESEG College, part of the Etapa Group, held another edition of "Coffee with the Market," an initiative that brings speakers together for an informal chat with students about Artificial Intelligence and its use in the job market.

The guest speaker for the evening was Lucas Brossi, Head of Data & AI for South America at Bain & Company, one of the world's largest management and strategy consulting firms.

During the meeting, students had the opportunity to interact with the speaker, who addressed topics such as technological advancements and the use of Artificial Intelligence within companies. Lucas also offered a unique perspective, showing the side of companies that own data centers, demonstrating how they use data, manage storage, and utilize harnesses—a software infrastructure and control layer that involves a Learning Language Model (LLM) to transform it into a functional and reliable agent.

“"It was a great pleasure for me to be here today. I was very well received, I loved the questions, and it was clear that the students are of very high quality. We talked a bit about the future of the job market, about AI, how to incorporate this technology into our daily lives, and the changes we should expect in the future. It was a very rich discussion, and I leave here grateful and hope to have contributed some reflections and thought-provoking ideas for you," the guest speaker highlighted.

Student participation

For the students in attendance, it was a unique opportunity to speak with a leading figure in the field of strategic consulting, allowing them to gain closer insight into the job market and the management area.

The students were engaged with the topic and were able to ask many questions about the use of AI, the future of content creation, and how to apply all of this in their daily work. Laura Fernandes, a student of Production Engineering, shared her experience participating in the debate and her thoughts on the future of Artificial Intelligence in the job market.

“I think it’s a super important topic that’s growing more and more in the market, and it’s fundamental that we have this knowledge, this understanding of how artificial intelligence is present in our lives and careers. The event was very enriching in many ways.”

For Ricardo Cavalcanti, another Production Engineering student, the opportunity to speak with Lucas Brossi brought a great deal of knowledge to his career. “Today I was able to gain a lot of knowledge from a professional who is already in the consulting field. I was also able to talk to him about AI, how it is implemented in the market today, its use by clients, etc. It was very informative and a great learning experience indeed.”
