On November 30th, ESEG College, part of the Etapa Group, held the event "Connection with the Future: Family and Career," a morning dedicated to supporting families in the career guidance process for their children. The event welcomed dozens of participants, who were greeted with a delicious breakfast in a full house, creating a welcoming atmosphere of dialogue and exchange of experiences.
The free event was structured around three strategic pillars of the institution: technology, internationalization, and family support, offering quality information, direct interaction with experts, and practical sessions aimed at those who wish to better understand the career and higher education landscape.
The reception was led by Luiz Neves, Educational Projects Coordinator at ESEG, who welcomed the audience and presented the history and projects of the Faculty. He highlighted the solidity of the Etapa Group, which has maintained excellence and quality in education for over 50 years, reinforcing its commitment to high-level training. Luiz also shared important news: ESEG is expanding and plans to offer new undergraduate courses by 2027, always aligned with the demands of the job market. "Our goal is to maintain strong, up-to-date education connected to professional transformations," he emphasized.
The workshop “Smart Productivity: How AI Can Work for You” was conducted by engineering professor Rodrigo Assirati, who presented in a practical way to parents how Artificial Intelligence can facilitate tasks, organize information, and optimize time in daily life. Rodrigo highlighted that the hyper-connected world can be a great ally and reinforced the need to keep up with rapid technological transformations: “Changes are constant and need to be part of everyone's routine,” said the educator.
Career, support, and student empowerment.
After a coffee break and time for interaction among participants, the discussion about careers was led by Simone Bortoletto, coordinator of the Career Development Center (CDC), where the educational psychologist explained the transformations in the professional world and the role of ESEG in supporting students holistically. Simone explained that the CDC acts as a space for welcoming, guidance, and continuous preparation: “Visits to companies, workshops, English in the curriculum, encouragement of internships and short courses beyond the undergraduate program make all the difference. We go beyond the classroom.” She also reinforced the role of families: “Parents need to accompany and guide, not prohibit. Making mistakes is part of the process, and they will need to learn to fall and get back up,” Simone emphasized.
Vanessa Martins, manager of the international area at ESEG, presented the importance of international experiences and the development of behavioral skills in the educational process. Vanessa emphasized that ESEG is not limited to technical content, but also stimulates critical thinking, socio-emotional skills, and a global perspective. She also highlighted academic trips, exchanges, guided visits to companies, and international partnerships: "ESEG is prepared for the globalized world, and students have the opportunity to experience unique opportunities both inside and outside of Brazil.".
The importance of family support is fundamental. Therefore, the mothers of the students taking the entrance exam took the opportunity to leave a message. Fabiana Gonçalves Costa wished her son good luck as he begins a new journey and seeks to secure a place in the Law course at the Faculty. "We are happy with this opportunity; ESEG is truly a unique faculty, besides the welcoming atmosphere, it has an extremely specialized teaching program," added Fabiana.
Valéria Oppido expressed her admiration for her daughter Camila, who was taking the exam. "I'm very proud of my daughter, I hope she passes the ESEG exam and that everything goes well in her personal and professional life," Valéria wished her daughter.
At the end of the event, parents and guardians were able to speak directly with the course coordinators, clarify doubts, and better understand ESEG's pedagogical approach while the students finalized their activities. The intimate format and limited number of participants allowed for closer conversations, personalized reflections, and a welcoming environment.
The event reinforces ESEG College's mission to offer an education that combines academic rigor, innovation, and an international perspective, preparing young people to be the protagonists of their own career paths.
