On August 8th, ESEG College hosted the 8th Chinese Companies Recruitment Fair in Brazil, An initiative that promotes closer ties between professionals from the East and Brazilians seeking new career opportunities.
During the event, candidates were able to learn about the companies, speak directly with recruiters, participate in selection processes, and attend lectures on career paths, the job market, and the operations of Chinese companies in Brazil.
The organization of the Fair involved the participation of Lilian Rodrigues, Coordinator of Business Relations and B2B Manager at ESEG College., responsible for the area that connects the institution with organizations and professionals in the market.
“The importance lies in the connection we manage to generate between companies and our students. We have the Business Channel, which aims, among other things, to place our students in the job market. My role is to ensure that large corporations recognize ESEG as a brand that offers a solid education,” explains Lilian.
This synergy between academia and the business ecosystem was endorsed by Vice-President of ESEG College, Vitor Passoni, during the official opening of the event, when he welcomed the companies and participants.
“It is a source of pride for ESEG to open its doors to other companies and cultures. We believe that education is connected to the world and that our students need to explore new professional horizons. The presence of these companies represents technology, innovation, and new ways of looking at business, in addition to contributing to the national and global economy,” stated Passoni.

The 8th edition of the Career Fair showed significant growth compared to previous editions, demonstrating the interest of Chinese companies in the Brazilian market. More than 30 companies participated, including TP-Link, SHEIN, 99, BYD, China Mobile, COFCO, Dahua, FiberHome, iMile, J&T Express, Keeta, Kwai, LiuGong, OPPO, and XCMG.
In total, approximately 440 positions were made available in areas such as technology, engineering, sales and marketing, logistics, marketing, finance, administration, accounting, legal, and e-commerce.
Public interest also grew. The Fair received approximately 3,000 applicants, 501 more than in the previous edition, increasing the number of professionals in contact with participating companies.
The program also included opportunities for interaction between candidates, companies, and invited professionals.
Representing ESEG College, Professor Edgard Rodrigues, a lecturer in Administration, gave a presentation that addressed new technological trends and behavioral skills, or soft skills, which are increasingly necessary in the job market.
Recruiters also had access to rooms provided by ESEG for conducting on-site interviews, allowing candidates to advance in the selection processes during the event itself.
Among the participants at the Fair, ESEG students also had the opportunity to visit companies, talk to recruiters, and follow discussions about the job market.
Student Bianca Brandão, from the fourth semester of Production Engineering at ESEG, [Name], who participated in the event, highlighted the experience of having direct contact with companies and learning about the opportunities available.
“It was an extremely enriching experience. We had company booths where we could talk directly to recruiters, learn new things, and find out about the job openings that companies are looking for today. We also had lectures, both with professors and with the companies themselves, and it was really great,” the student reported.
Representing the Chinese Consulate, the Consul General of the People's Republic of China in São Paulo, Yu Peng, highlighted the interest of Chinese investors in Brazil's growth and the importance of professionals for companies operating in the country.
During the program, representatives from the institutions involved highlighted the trajectory of closer ties between Brazil and China and the role of São Paulo as an important center for holding the fair, considering the diversity of companies present in the region.
Promoted by Brazilian Association of Chinese Companies (ABEC), the Confucius Institute at Unesp, and the IEST Group, with support from Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in São Paulo, The fair has been expanding in size over the years.
For ESEG, holding a large event like this reinforces the importance of bridging the gap between academic training and the job market. The participation of companies from different sectors and countries broadens students' exposure to new cultures, technologies, business models, and career opportunities.
