ESEG students participate in Agrishow 2026 in an interdisciplinary experience on innovation in agribusiness.

In May, students from ESEG College participated in a technical visit to Agrishow 2026, one of the largest agricultural technology fairs in Latin America.

The activity was organized by AgroESEG, an initiative of the project. ESEG Tech & Business, with support from the Events and Academic Coordination areas, bringing together the institution's five undergraduate courses.

During the visit, the students divided into groups according to their interests and areas of expertise to explore the different spaces of the fair.

The experience provided direct contact with autonomous machines, embedded technologies, artificial intelligence applied to the field, financial solutions for agribusiness, and global trends in the sector.

Agriculture, Economics, and Engineering

Among the main themes observed by the students were the advancement of agricultural automation, the growing presence of international companies in the Latin American market, and the challenges related to rural credit and investments in the sector.

For Ana Luiza Amaral Pereira, a first-semester student of Economic Sciences, As a participant in the Finance and AgroESEG League, the visit broadened his perspective on professional opportunities within agribusiness.

“I had the opportunity to learn about different career paths for an economist within agriculture. There was a street dedicated to the financial sector, where banks and credit unions provided career information for economists in agriculture, mainly in the areas of machinery financing and rural credit,” he said.

The student also highlighted that the experience sparked a new professional interest.

“"Although I was initially interested in the financial market focused on investments, my contact with financial products for farmers sparked a great interest in pursuing this field," he stated.

As for Bruno Yoshito Rodrigues Tsuruda, a first-semester student of Production Engineering, The experience helped to visualize the daily routine and innovation of this field.

The student also commented on how production engineering is present in the functioning of the agricultural sector.

“"Even though this function isn't mentioned very often, it seems almost omnipresent. Only with this event was I able to understand how that universe works and is structured," he explained.

Participation in Agrishow reinforces the proposal of ESEG College to connect students to market transformations and practical experiences from the first semesters of their undergraduate studies.
