On May 16th, students from the Administration, Economics, Production Engineering, and Computer Engineering courses at ESEG – Faculdade do Grupo Etapa participated in a technical visit to the Bombril factory on Rodovia Anchieta, in São Bernardo do Campo.

On that occasion, the Administration Coordinator, José Guilherme Campos, emphasized the importance of actions like this. “Technical visits are essential to student training for several reasons: by talking to company professionals, students can observe in practice the knowledge seen in the classroom and even acquire new knowledge,” explains the professor.

At Bombril, visitors were welcomed with a coffee break and, immediately afterwards, attended several short presentations by professionals from different areas of the company, who spoke about the history, values, and tradition of the brand.

Next, the conversation continued with the professionals responsible for the company's main production areas: the packaging, which is manufactured on-site; the filling process; and the production area, responsible for manufacturing the products themselves.

Subsequently, professionals in the areas of Occupational Health and Safety and Environment concluded the series of lectures, emphasizing social responsibility and safety actions with employees.

Properly equipped with PPE, the graduates began their guided tour of the factory, where they saw firsthand the production processes, machines in operation, and the functional routines of the production area. They also visited the company's offices, where the administrative areas are located.

Furthermore, during the visit, they were able to see and purchase products at below-market prices in the Bombril store, which is normally reserved only for company employees.

For Lilian Dayse Naliati Rodrigues, head of the Business Relations area at ESEG, partnerships like this with leading companies in the market are essential to foster innovation, enrich the academic curriculum, and prepare students for the challenges of the job market. "This collaboration offers the Faculty access to resources and practical knowledge; the company, the opportunity to shape future professionals; and the student, a more complete education aligned with the demands of the sector," observes the professional.

Visits like this, according to coordinator José Guilherme, not only complement the students' training but also broaden their market perspective. "With these visits, students can discover new areas of work and are motivated to seek new positions in leading companies in the market, especially students with little or no professional experience. This is also an opportunity to observe and experience the daily routine and work environment," he emphasizes.
