The morning of last Saturday (February 24th) was marked by much joy and nostalgia among the graduating class of 2023-2 from the Administration, Economics, and Production Engineering courses, along with family and friends present. The ceremony took place in auditorium J3, on the Ana Rosa campus.
Led by guest master of ceremonies Angelo Vieira, the event also included the presence of some professors and collaborators who were part of these students' journey. "For ESEG, the graduation ceremony is a moment of great magnitude, as it validates the fulfillment of our commitment, as a Faculty, to teaching and learning. It is also at this moment that each student can express their joy and gratitude to all who, in some way, contributed to this achievement," Vieira highlighted in his speech.
On that occasion, the following composed the official table: Prof. Dimas Alberto Ferreira, Academic Director; Prof. Dr. José Guilherme Ferraz, Course Coordinator and Patron of the Administration program; Prof. Dr. Fernando Augusto Umezu, Course Coordinator and Patron of the Economics program; Prof. Dr. Fernando Kakugawa, Course Coordinator of the Production Engineering program; Prof. Dr. Fernando Jardim, Patron of the Production Engineering program; and Academic Secretary Vanessa dos Anjos Nardin.
Following the official opening of the ceremony by Professor Dimas and the playing of the national anthem, the class speakers Lilian Li Ying (Administration), Aline Viana da Silva (Economics), and Vinicius Pereira Castellano (Production Engineering) had the opportunity to speak about their experiences throughout their journey at ESEG, the fundamental support of professors, staff, parents, family, and friends, as well as the significance of the moment, which emotionally marked the completion of another stage in their lives.
“I learned lessons that go beyond books and classrooms through practical experience, which earned me a position as a Junior Credit Analyst at Banco Mercedes. I learned about resilience, the importance of teamwork, and the ability to adapt to adversity. I learned to value every small achievement and to face each obstacle with determination and courage. I thank the professors at ESEG for providing me with a quality higher education. I have great admiration for all of them, without exception,” said the Economics student.
To honor the teachers, so fundamental to this journey, Production Engineering student Luís Gustavo took to the stage representing all the graduating students.
The tribute to parents was given by Production Engineering student Gabriela Bottini, who delivered a beautiful speech followed by the presentation of roses from all the graduates to their parents and loved ones, demonstrating a small gesture of gratitude for all the support and love dedicated to them throughout their lives.
After the tributes and speeches, the moment everyone had been waiting for arrived: the oath and the awarding of diplomas. An act that marks the end of this academic cycle and opens the way to endless possibilities to come, whether academic or professional.
To conclude the event, awards were presented to the graduates:
