Agrishow 2025 brought together more than 197,000 visitors between April 28th and May 2nd in Ribeirão Preto (SP). In its 30th edition, the event had the theme "The Future of Agriculture from A to Z" and highlighted technological innovations, sustainability, and the connection between the field and industry. Students from ESEG College attended the fair, on a technical visit led by Professor Edison Feghali.

The visit to Agrishow delighted our students and reinforced the importance of extracurricular activities. “During this event, I noticed that the students had a unique and enriching experience. Some even commented that, from now on, they intend to look more closely at opportunities in areas related to agribusiness,” the teacher highlighted. During the visit, the students had the opportunity to see the stands of the largest companies in the sector, providing them with direct contact with the most advanced technology and innovation in the field, known as Agriculture 5.0.

The fair provided an immersion into areas that go beyond the theory learned in the classroom, with activities that put participants face-to-face with professional practice. Among the highlights were the Agrishow Labs spaces, aimed at startups in the sector; Agrishow Pra Elas, focusing on female participation in agriculture; and the Ambassadors' Lounge, which promoted meetings with influencers in the sector.

For Sabrina Silveira, a 5th-semester Production Engineering student, the experience was one of discovery and learning. “It was a very enriching experience, out of the ordinary for me. I was able to have direct contact with innovations and technologies applied to agribusiness, many of which I only knew in theory,” said the student, who added: “What caught my attention the most were the solutions focused on automation in the field. It was very interesting to see how these technologies are being implemented to make processes more efficient and connected.”

In addition to absorbing technical knowledge, the students also took the opportunity to connect with the market and strengthen ties with their classmates. “The visit was also important because it took us out of our academic routine and brought us closer to the market. We talked to professionals in the field, gained a better understanding of the technologies presented, and strengthened our contact with college colleagues. This made the experience even more complete,” Sabrina points out.

Guilherme Moreno, a 7th-semester Production Engineering student, also highlighted the impact of the experience. “We certainly had access to content and realities that we wouldn't have had if we only considered the classroom setting. Extracurricular activities like these make learning even richer,” he commented.

Among the most memorable moments, Guilherme mentioned the test drive at the BYD booth, with demonstrations of smart cars using artificial intelligence, and the visit to the CHC exhibitor, which presented real-time agricultural monitoring solutions. “What caught my attention the most was an exhibitor who, in addition to machinery, offered a real-time agricultural monitoring service, with data on planting, pests, weather, and harvesting. A large-scale reality that I had never seen before,” he reported.

According to Guilherme, experiences like this broaden horizons and reveal new professional possibilities. “Visiting Agrishow allows us to get to know a new field of work up close and establish connections that can be very productive. Furthermore, it strengthens ties between students from different courses and shifts, fostering a rich and powerful network,” he states.

Professor Edison further emphasizes that contact with the real world of agribusiness is essential for the academic and personal development of students. “The students were able to talk to specialists, observe the operation of machines up close, and learn about technological solutions focused on productivity and sustainability. I believe this experience contributed to changing their perspective on the field and agribusiness, which are not always accurately portrayed by urban media. This stimulates critical thinking and broadens their vision,” observes the professor.

At the end of the day, the feeling was one of gratitude and inspiration. “It was more than a visit, it was a practical field lesson, conducted by an exemplary professional. Stepping outside our comfort zone opens our eyes to improvements in our own processes. That's how technology and innovation help build the future,” concludes student Guilherme.

ESEG College values experiences that bring students closer to the job market, such as technical visits and activities outside the classroom. Stay tuned to our communication channels and don't miss the chance to participate in upcoming initiatives.
