On March 23rd, ESEG College, part of the Etapa Group, held a meeting with representatives from the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, in Portugal, with the aim of strengthening academic partnerships with the institution and thus expanding exchange opportunities for its students.

Recognized for its initiatives aimed at training outstanding professionals for the market, ESEG has been expanding its international reach through academic mobility programs and projects with foreign institutions.

The meeting, organized by the office ESEG International, The meeting was attended by members of the International Relations Office of the Portuguese institute, Naíde Marisa Martins and Ana Patrícia Santos, as well as the rector Carlos Manuel Rabadão. The meeting focused on the exchange of institutional information and the alignment of new possibilities for cooperation.

According to Vanessa Martins, manager of ESEG's international office, this visit further strengthens the existing partnership. “The meeting was positive. As we already have an agreement with the institution, this was an opportunity for them to provide updates on institutional development, such as the upcoming transition to 'university' status, which will expand the range of courses offered, especially in areas like Law,‘ she emphasized.

After the meeting, the representatives gave a presentation about the International Academic Mobility Program. The initiative allows ESEG students to spend a semester at partner institutions abroad, such as the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, providing a multicultural experience and enriching their academic training.

During the presentation, details were provided about the campus infrastructure, English-language course options, programs offered, and faculty profiles. Students were also able to ask questions directly to the visitors.

For Vanessa, international experiences like this represent a significant advantage in students' career paths. “Having an international experience broadens perspectives and can open doors both personally and professionally. The academic mobility program is a unique benefit offered by ESEG that can make a difference in students' careers,” she concludes.
