ESEG College participates in the 13th National Financial Education Week with various initiatives.

With an opening event at B3 (Brazilian Stock Exchange), exclusive lectures, and the launch of a podcast, the institution brought together students, professors, and the community for a practical immersion in investments, retirement planning, and the future of finance.

With the goal of raising awareness among the academic community and the general public about the importance of a balanced relationship with money, the ESEG College, part of the Etapa Group, promoted a series of remarkable initiatives in celebration of 13th National Financial Education Week (Semana ENEF).

The national event is organized by entities such as the CVM (Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission), the Central Bank, and the National Treasury, under the Brazilian Forum for Financial Education (FBEF).

ESEG College also made its presence felt in several other areas, such as lectures and the launch of an exclusive podcast on the subject.

Demystifying finance with a focus on the future.

On May 19th, in partnership with Ágora Investimentos, Faculdade ESEG hosted a lecture. “"Financial Planning for the Future.".

The meeting brought together students, teachers, and the community for a practical discussion about investments, retirement planning, and financial organization.

The lecture was led by Eduardo Reis Filho, a specialist from Ágora, who presented reflections on the importance of discussing the topic from a young age, using simple examples to demystify concepts in the financial market.

During the meeting, the expert highlighted the financial situation of Brazilians and emphasized how the lack of knowledge on the subject directly impacts the population's indebtedness.

Among the topics covered were emergency funds, compound interest, investor profiles, private pension plans, estate planning, and strategies for using salary as a tool for building long-term wealth.

In addition to theoretical explanations, Eduardo also shared practical tips for daily financial organization, such as maintaining a detailed budget, cutting unnecessary expenses (like excessive spending on delivery and transportation apps), avoiding secured loans, and seeking investment options aligned with life goals.

“It was a very dynamic lecture, with the participation of students, teachers, and parents, discussing retirement and estate planning instruments during ENEF Week,” highlighted Eduardo Reis Filho. “I want to thank ESEG and Grupo Etapa for the invitation and everyone who participated in this meeting,” he concluded.

Real impact at the grassroots level: the voice of the students.

At the end of the lecture, the invited students were able to ask questions about retirement planning, investments, and emergency funds, in a direct exchange with the speaker.

The hands-on approach generated immediate feedback from the participants:

“Financial education is a subject that should be discussed more and more in our country. I personally didn't know much about private pension plans and I found it very cool to understand how they work. In the future, now that I understand better, I intend to invest in that,” commented Pedro Henrique Nascimento Santos, 17, a student at the ETAPA Course.

Student Myguel de Paula Teles Pinheiro, 18, also highlighted the importance of the lecture for young people who want to enter the financial market. “It was very enlightening. Brazil still has a deficit in financial education, and the tips shared help not only the students but also our families,” he concluded.

Five student representatives from ESEG Finance League They were invited to the official opening event of ENEF Week at the headquarters of B3 (Brazilian Stock Exchange), participating in the traditional and symbolic "Bell Ringing for Financial Education".

2. Lecture “Making ETFs simple” (05/18)

ESEG hosted a lecture promoted in direct partnership with B3. The theme was... “"Demystifying ETFs: understand how they work, why to invest, and how to get started"”, The session was led by the renowned Professor Arthur Vieira de Moraes and was aimed at the faculty's internal audience.

3. Exclusive Content: Special Podcast (May 21st)

Closing out the week of events, the institution launches the special episode of podcast “Building the financial future at school”. The program features an exclusive interview with Professor Alice, advisor to the winning student group. 1st Finance & Investment Olympics, discussing the role of basic financial education in Brazilian schools.
