Economics and Business Administration students hold finance workshop.

On Saturday, June 7th, students from the Economics and Business Administration courses at ESEG College, part of the Etapa Group, conducted a mini-course. Money without Mystery, a finance workshop aimed at people interested in learning how to better manage their own money, through concepts of investments, income, and financial planning.

The initiative was conceived by Professor Fabiana Bortoleto, a lecturer in the areas of Administration and Economics, and developed throughout the semester in practical classes. The proposal was to transform academic content into an accessible course, presented by the students themselves to guests and registered participants.

“During this semester, I was able to build the course structure together with the students, focusing on personal finance and financial management. They were very excited. We worked intensely towards this moment, and I believe that in this activity they managed to demonstrate everything we prepared in class,” says the professor.

Organized into four groups, the students addressed different aspects of finance, all anchored in basic concepts of mathematics and economics:

Group 1 – Consumption habits and how to earn income
Group 2 Financial planning: income and expenses, surplus and deficit. Group 3 Access to credit financial products Group 4 Investments

“It was a different experience because, for the first time, we actually taught a class. We, the students, were in the teachers' shoes and felt firsthand what it's like to share knowledge with other people,” reports Joana D'arc Alexandrino, a Business Administration student.

Each group occupied a room, where they welcomed the participants and conducted presentations with interactive activities, engaging the audience and applying the content covered in class practically.

“It was a very rewarding experience, with a lot of support from the professors and other teams. We worked all semester to deliver a quality class for everyone who was present,” highlighted Nicolas Yamada, also a Business Administration student.

The workshop reaffirms ESEG College's commitment to the practical training of its students, encouraging academic leadership and the real-world application of knowledge acquired throughout the course.
