Belgian exchange student at ESEG participates in an internship at IEST Group.

The year has barely begun and... ESEG College, part of the Etapa Group, [Institution name] already has some exchange students at its facilities who will study the first semester of 2026 in Brazil, as part of the mobility program. ESEG International.

One of them, Lennert Vandenborne, is a student at the partner institution. PXL University College, [Name], from Belgium, arrived last week to participate in an international exchange program in our country along with two other colleagues. The young people will take part in elective courses on the Economic Structure of Brazil and Corporate Culture and Etiquette in Brazil, in addition to other classes taught in English in conjunction with ESEG students.

Last week, Lennert began a three-month internship at IEST Group, [Company Name], one of the Faculty's partner companies, where he is being supervised by Andy Ma, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and his team. The internship aims to familiarize him with the work environment and finance in Brazil, allowing him to experience the daily routine of professionals working in the field, thus generating a valuable multicultural experience.

Vanessa Martins, coordinator of ESEG International, along with Lilian Rodrigues, coordinator of the Business Relations area, were responsible for mediating this process so that the young man could fully immerse himself in Brazilian culture and develop personally and professionally.

On February 12th, the exchange student participated in a Chinese writing workshop in celebration of the Chinese Lunar New Year. During the event, in addition to learning more about Chinese culture, it was possible to practice writing Mandarin and further broaden international horizons with another different culture. At IEST Group, Lennert will learn more about the world of business consulting, having direct contact with people from different countries and customs.

In addition to the internship, the student will actively participate in various activities at ESEG College, bringing great opportunities for their professional future. This is yet another example of the possibilities that ESEG offers not only to its own students, but also to students from international partner institutions, promoting multicultural exchange.
