An initiative from the Business Administration and Economics courses at ESEG aims to bring financial education to students.

ESEG College brought together leading figures in the financial sector in São Paulo for the Young Investors event. The meeting featured market experts discussing Fixed Income, Real Estate Investment Funds, and Variable Income. Participants learned about the importance of diversification in investments to plan a portfolio suited to their individual goals.

The first speaker was Antonio Pizarro, a fixed-income specialist with over 25 years of experience in the financial market. Pizarro defended the importance of understanding the different types of products offered in order to diversify investments and increase profitability. "A Certificate of Deposit (CDB), for example, is as safe as a savings account and provides higher returns," said Pizarro.

Next, Artur Losnak spoke to the audience about Real Estate Investment Funds. Losnak, a portfolio manager with CFA, CNPI, CGA, and CPA-20 certifications, discussed how to achieve a good return by investing in products with controlled risk. For those planning to start investing, it is essential to know how to balance the risks and the desired reward with each type of investment.

To conclude the lecture program, Luiz Fernando Roxo explained some aspects of how variable income investments work. Roxo, an economist and investment portfolio manager authorized by the CVM (Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission), emphasized the importance of constant study and updating to maximize returns. Using concepts developed by statistician and risk analyst Nassim Taleb, Roxo outlined the skills needed to invest successfully in the stock market.

Finally, there was a debate moderated by Professor Pablo Ganassim, a mathematician, financial educator, and lecturer at ESEG. The audience could clarify doubts and seek guidance on the topic. Knowledge about finance is the first step to managing money more efficiently, avoiding unnecessary expenses, and making better use of the budget. At ESEG, students are prepared to work in the financial market, a sector that offers excellent opportunities for professionals in Administration and Economics.
