The 2nd AME Paraíso Security Symposium brings together authorities and residents at the ESEG College.

On October 2nd, the Main Hall of the ESEG Faculty was the venue for 2nd AME Paraíso Security Symposium, an event that brought together public authorities, security forces, and residents to discuss the topic of "Security in Neighborhoods and Condominiums".

Organized by the Paraíso Neighborhood Residents Association (AME Paraíso), the meeting aimed to strengthen the integration between the community and public authorities in the search for effective solutions for local security.

The opening was led by the president of AME Paraíso, Marilda Watanabe, who emphasized the importance of dialogue between civil society and institutions. Special guests included the Subprefect of Vila Mariana, Rafael Minatogawa; councilwoman Amanda Vettorazzo; state representative Guto Zacarias; Captain PM Guerreiro, commander of the 3rd Company of the 3rd Battalion; and delegate Marcelo Palhares, head of the 36th Police District.

On that occasion, topics were addressed from different perspectives, such as urban planning, technology, public policies, and security in condominiums.

Deputy Mayor Minatogawa highlighted the importance of urban planning in crime prevention, while councilwoman Amanda Vettorazzo presented results from the SmartSampa program, which integrates forces such as the Civil Police, Military Police, Fire Department, and Civil Defense, an initiative that has already demonstrated significant progress in urban monitoring.

Deputy Guto Zacarias offered reflections on the role of public policies in security, and Captain PM Guerreiro warned about the increase in robberies and thefts in condominiums, presenting preventive measures. To conclude the evening's presentations, Delegate Marcelo Palhares presented a case study on break-ins in condominiums, highlighting the importance of residents' collaboration in investigations.

After the presentations, the audience was able to interact by sending questions via QR Code, reinforcing the participatory nature of the symposium.

The event also included the presentation of recognition plaques to the speakers and supporters, as well as a raffle for prizes among those present.

Among the official supporters of the initiative were ESEG College, the Vila Mariana Subprefecture, the Civil Police, the Military Police, the Municipal Guard, Maple Bear, Paraíso Prime Imóveis, Malliah Beauty Salon, and the MAAM Building.

The closing ceremony reinforced the spirit of cooperation that marked the meeting. “Community unity is fundamental to building a safer neighborhood together. This symposium demonstrates the strength of collaboration between residents, authorities, and institutions,” concluded Marilda Watanabe.

The 2nd AME Paraíso Security Symposium has established itself as an important space for exchanging experiences and strengthening dialogue between the population and security forces, reaffirming the collective commitment to protection and quality of life in the Paraíso neighborhood.
