ESEG receives a visit from students of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.

Students explored the Faculty's infrastructure and discussed topics such as Artificial Intelligence and Sustainability.
ESEG – Escola Superior de Engenharia e Gestão received this Monday (20) a visit from students from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. The students, who are pursuing undergraduate degrees in Business and Engineering at the North American institution, learned about the history of ESEG through a presentation of the methodology, the academic integrity agreement and the levels of employability achieved by the college.

The university students toured the Ana Rosa campus and visited Lite – the Technological Innovation Laboratory. There, they explored the infrastructure offered to ESEG students for creating projects.
Following the visit, there was a lecture on Artificial Intelligence given by Professor Luiz Fernando Durão, who holds a master's degree in Production Engineering and is a specialist in Big Data and Innovation. Durão spoke about how algorithms can accurately predict social and political phenomena and the importance of a career in Engineering in a scenario where Data Analysis will be increasingly used in decision-making.
The closing session featured a presentation by Professor Carlos Cerqueira, PhD in Organic Chemistry and specialist in Sustainability. Cerqueira presented an overview of the chemical industry focused on the agribusiness sector in Brazil and the challenges of sustainable growth in this context.
The visit highlights the importance of internationalization and the exchange of scientific knowledge between institutions worldwide. ESEG, due to the solid education it offers its students, provides opportunities to participate in international projects and has numerous graduates working in countries such as the United States, Germany, and Sweden.
