A ESEG College, part of the Etapa Group, signed an academic cooperation agreement with the University of São Paulo (USP), through the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (CIAAM).

This initiative strengthens the connection between the two institutions and paves the way for the development of joint research projects, academic exchange, and actions aimed at producing knowledge in strategic areas for the future of education, technology, and innovation.

The agreement establishes a collaborative framework that will expand opportunities for students, faculty, and researchers, promoting integration between teaching, applied research, and scientific development.

What does the agreement between ESEG and USP stipulate?

The agreement establishes a broad agenda for academic cooperation in areas of common interest, encouraging the exchange of knowledge and the development of collaborative initiatives between the institutions.

The planned areas of cooperation include:

  • Exchange of faculty, researchers, and students;
  • Joint development of research projects;
  • Organization of scientific and cultural events;
  • Sharing of information and academic publications;
  • Exchange of experiences between technical and administrative teams;
  • Offering shared courses and subjects.

The partnership creates conditions for the development of multidisciplinary projects capable of connecting academic knowledge, real market challenges, and new technologies, expanding the impact of teaching and research activities developed by both institutions.

Benefits for ESEG students

The cooperation between ESEG and USP expands the academic training opportunities for students by bringing them closer to a research environment recognized for its excellence and for producing knowledge of national and international relevance.

In addition to enriching the university experience, the partnership contributes to the development of skills that are increasingly valued in the job market, especially in areas related to digital transformation, data analysis, and artificial intelligence. The initiative also fosters the building of academic and professional networks, which are fundamental for training professionals prepared to work in increasingly complex and dynamic environments.

Among the main expected benefits are:

  • Closer relationships with leading national and international researchers;
  • Participation in collaborative academic projects;
  • Expanding academic and professional networking;
  • Contact with initiatives related to Artificial Intelligence and machine learning;
  • Access to activities, events, and courses developed in partnership;
  • Exchange of experiences with students and researchers from different fields of knowledge;
  • Closer ties with leading research and innovation environments;
  • Developing skills aligned with the demands of the new economy.

Applied research and knowledge production

One of the main purposes of the agreement is to stimulate the creation of joint research projects capable of generating knowledge, innovation, and impact for society.

The collaboration will allow professors and researchers from both institutions to work on initiatives focused on scientific development, applied research, and the search for solutions to contemporary challenges in different areas of knowledge.

Furthermore, the partnership provides mechanisms for sharing scientific publications, exchanging academic information, and developing new research areas, strengthening the intellectual production capacity of the institutions involved.

CIAAM: a reference in Artificial Intelligence at USP

The participation of the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (CIAAM) gives special relevance to the partnership. Linked to USP (University of São Paulo), the center works on developing research and initiatives aimed at advancing Artificial Intelligence and its applications in different sectors of society.

The partnership with a center dedicated to one of the most transformative areas of our time expands the possibilities for academic collaboration and creates new opportunities for students and faculty interested in topics related to data science, automation, machine learning, and technological innovation.

For Vitor Passoni, vice-president of Faculdade ESEG, the agreement reinforces the institution's commitment to an education connected to the transformations that are redefining the market and society.

“Artificial Intelligence is already redefining how we live, work, and make decisions. By establishing this partnership with USP and CIAAM, ESEG expands its capacity to connect students and professors to the discussions and research that are shaping the future, strengthening our role as an institution focused on innovation and the training of leaders for the new economy,” he comments.

Strengthening the academic mission of ESEG

The signing of this agreement reaffirms ESEG's commitment to academic excellence and to building institutional partnerships capable of expanding development opportunities for its academic community.

By strengthening ties with one of the most recognized public institutions in Latin America, ESEG reinforces its performance in applied research, expands its involvement in innovation environments, and creates new opportunities for collaboration among students, professors, and researchers. Furthermore, it strengthens its connection with centers of excellence in research, enhancing its role in training professionals prepared to lead the challenges of a society increasingly driven by technology, knowledge, and innovation.
