The team played against the UNICID Medical School team in a university competition.
The ESEG – Faculdade do Grupo Etapa men's futsal team participated in the NDU (Novo Desporto Universitário) championship last Sunday, March 27th. The game took place at Clube Palestra, in the city of São Bernardo do Campo/SP, and marked the second match of the group stage. ESEG defeated the UNICID Medicine team by a score of 3-1.
According to coach Allan Pires de Lima, the ESEG team was better and dominated almost the entire first half. “The opponent played defensively, relied on counter-attacks, and managed to open the scoring at the end of the first half. ESEG remained focused and equalized midway through the second half. Even after changing the entire team, we maintained the volume and intensity of play in pursuit of victory,” explained the coach.

Physical Education teacher Vitor Alencar also commented on the match. 'We created many opportunities and hit the post, however, due to an individual error at the end of the first half, the UNICID team scored the first goal. In the second half, our athletes continued to dominate the game, but the anxiety to score was hindering us, until, halfway through the second half, we tied the game. Then, the opposing team had a player sent off and we took advantage of the numerical advantage to turn the game around,' the teacher recounted.
