The ESEG College website, part of the Etapa Group, hereinafter referred to as the SITE, is an educational website used for pedagogical purposes to complement activities aimed at students.
Through this document, ESEG informs you of the Terms and Conditions that govern the use and navigation of the SITE. By accessing and using them, you agree to all the conditions and clauses set forth herein, which are listed below:
The USER acknowledges and accepts that the SITE includes security components that protect electronic information, and may limit its use and access. The USER is also aware that the information may only be used within the limits established by the SITE.
2.1 The SITE will make its best efforts to keep the information and materials as accurate, up-to-date and complete as possible.
2.2 We strive to ensure that the information provided is accurate, complete and up-to-date.
2.3 The use of the material published by us is the sole responsibility of the USER, who is liable, in accordance with current legislation, for any misuse.
2.4 The information contained on this SITE may be updated or modified periodically; therefore, it should not be interpreted as definitive.
3.1 The texts, photographs, images, logos and sounds present on the SITE are protected by copyright or other intellectual property rights.
3.2 Simply accessing the SITE does not grant the USER any right to use the names, titles, words, phrases, trademarks, patents, literary, artistic, literary-musical works, among others, that are, or were, available on it.
3.3 The information contained on the SITE is solely and exclusively for educational purposes and to support the training of students.
3.4 The reproduction, distribution, transmission, display, publication or dissemination, in whole or in part, of the texts, figures, graphics and other content described above, which comprise this SITE, is prohibited without the prior and express authorization of ESEG. Only the printing of copies for academic use and personal archiving is permitted, provided that the parts are not separated, allowing for a faithful and accurate understanding of their content and purpose. Under no circumstances will the USER acquire any rights over them.
3.5 The USER assumes all civil and/or criminal liability for the improper use of information, texts, graphics, trademarks, works, and, in short, any and all intellectual or industrial property rights of this Site.
3.6 Any citation of content from this SITE must mention the following as the source: ESEG Website – Faculty of the Group Step.
3.7 The USER must strictly observe the content and purpose for which the authorized material is intended, and no alteration is permitted.
3.8 The authorization to use the requested material may not be transferred to third parties, even if they are linked to the USER for any reason.
3.9 The use of materials made available on the SITE does not authorize the USER to expose third parties to ridicule, create a work of an illegal, defamatory, obscene or immoral nature, which may violate morals and good customs, under penalty of incurring the penalties applicable under current legislation.
3.10 Any use not covered by this license will be considered a violation of copyright and subject to the penalties applicable under Law 9.610, of February 19, 1998, which protects copyright in Brazil.
3.11 The USER authorizes the SITE, for an indefinite and non-exclusive period, to use all material published by them in the virtual learning environment, including, but not limited to, chats, forums, video conferences and others, as well as the use of their image resulting from the activities, even after the end of their course, when a student, or their affiliation with the institution, when a teacher or maintainer of affiliated schools.
4.1 The SITE allows its USERS to post links in communications, but the SITE is not responsible for any link that refers to websites and content outside the ESEG network.
4.2 The SITE is also not responsible for actions taken by USERS based on information obtained from links, nor for the content, privacy policies and practices of the Portals that link to our SITE and those to which we link.
5.1 Apart from other responsibilities provided for herein or existing by virtue of the law, the user is responsible for: (i) providing their own Internet access and paying all service fees eventually charged by third parties in relation to such access; (ii) providing all the equipment necessary to make their Internet connection, including, but not limited to, a computer and a modem; (iii) maintaining their computer environment secure, using available tools such as antivirus and firewall, among others, updated; and (iv) not misusing the authorized material in a way that may infringe the rights of third parties.
5.2 The USER is responsible for providing true, accurate, current and complete information about themselves when registering on the specific form to access certain services, as well as for maintaining and immediately updating such Registration information to keep it true, accurate, current and complete.
5.3 It is the USER's sole responsibility to change the default password upon their first access and to use a strong password, as well as not to disclose it, thus ensuring its security.
5.4 It is the USER's responsibility to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the virtual learning environment, adhering to the principles of ethics and citizenship, thus maintaining balanced relationships without committing crimes or infractions.
5.5 Any ethical and legal infractions occurring on the SITE will be subject to administrative investigation, holding the perpetrator responsible under the consequences of ESEG's disciplinary process and applicable legislation.
5.6 The USER is solely responsible for the content they publish, undertaking not to publish content that infringes the rights of third parties or constitutes a criminal offense.
6.1 This Agreement covers the treatment that the SITE gives to information capable of identifying USERS, whether collected directly on its SITE or stored in its electronic databases by other means of collection.
6.2 The SITE may provide access to links to other external websites whose content and Privacy and Information Security Policies are not its responsibility. Therefore, we recommend that USERS, when redirected to external links, always consult the respective Privacy Policies before providing their data or information.
6.3 The SITE may at any time collect access information, browsing logs, and USER IP addresses for the purpose of verifying participation in activities.
6.4 Access to the collected information is restricted to employees and authorized individuals. Those who misuse this information will be subject to the penalties stipulated in our disciplinary process, without prejudice to any other applicable legal measures.
6.5 The information collected on the SITE will not, under any circumstances, be transferred to third parties or used for purposes other than those for which it was collected, except by court order, in which case the SITE must cooperate with the justice system.

8.1 This Terms and Conditions of Use agreement is governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. Its text shall be interpreted in the Portuguese language, and any dispute shall be submitted to the Central Court of the Capital City of the State of São Paulo.
