ESEG College hosts lecture on Artificial Intelligence in careers.

On May 14th, ESEG College hosted Professor Henrique Cezar, a member of the CFA Institute, for an exclusive lecture on the impacts of Artificial Intelligence on financial careers. The meeting, held in the Main Hall, marked the beginning of the activities of [the event/program/etc.]. Financial Market League from ESEG, led by professors Edison Feghali and Johnny Silva Mendes.

Open to current and former students of the institution, the lecture offered important reflections on the advancement of technologies in the financial sector and the role of the CFA certification as a competitive differentiator. Henrique Cezar shared his experiences and insights with the participants on how to stand out in an increasingly demanding and dynamic market. “I am very happy to be here at ESEG, accompanying this start of the Financial Market League, where I was able to share some of what students need to know to enter the field. It will always be a pleasure to return to ESEG,” the speaker emphasized.

The CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) certification is one of the most respected and globally recognized credentials in the field of finance and investment. It is awarded by the CFA Institute, based in the United States, and focuses on training highly qualified professionals in areas such as investment management, financial analysis, professional ethics, and others. It is a demanding certification, but one that adds great value to a resume and significantly expands career opportunities in the financial sector.

According to Professor Edison Feghali, the creation of the League at ESEG represents an important step in connecting students to the demands of the sector. “The Market League was created precisely to keep students updated on market transformations. This event addressed one of the most valued certifications in the field, the CFA, and showed students how this knowledge can be crucial for their professional future,” he stated.

The professor also reinforced ESEG's commitment to practical, market-oriented training. "Our role is to develop students' skills and provide support so they are ready to compete with the best professionals in the world. The market is constantly changing, and students need to evolve along with it," he added.

The reaction among students was immediate. Gabriel Reis, a 7th-semester law student, highlighted the relevance of the topic even outside the traditional areas of finance. “We see that AI is growing and impacting various fields more and more. It’s very important that we adapt to this. Even though I study law, I’m already working in the financial market and I see that AI has come to dominate several areas, including law,” he commented.

Gabriel Takaki, a freshman in the Economics program, celebrated ESEG's initiative. "It's a source of pride to study at a college that cares about the future of its students. These events put us in contact with professionals who answer real market questions and contribute greatly to our education," he said.
