Business Administration students welcome a speaker to discuss sustainability in companies.

With the aim of always bringing undergraduate students closer to the real workings of the market, through the practice of professions and interaction with competent professionals in the field, on November 28th, Professor Filippe Delarissa invited Vanessa Dias, a Sustainability professional from Auren – a company listed on the B3, the São Paulo Stock Exchange – to speak to the students about... Administration from ESEG – Faculdade do Grupo Etapa.

With a chat about ‘'Sustainability in practice in companies'’, Vanessa described the daily routine of a professional in the field and the company's practices, broadening the students' understanding of career possibilities and highlighting which sectors are currently in high demand in the job market.

The event was organized by Professor Filippe as part of the Sustainable Management in Organizations course. "Throughout the semester, we were able to discuss how companies incorporate this theme into their strategic agenda and how each functional area actively contributes to better socio-environmental and financial performance in the business," the professor highlighted.

In this context, Professor Filippe highlighted how Vanessa's participation helped to exemplify the various concepts, processes, and practices studied throughout the course. "In addition to bringing practical concepts to the classroom, the professional emphasized the importance of indicators and sustainable performance reporting for the various stakeholders in a publicly traded company. It was an excellent learning experience for the students," Filippe concluded.
