The Business Administration course at ESEG – Escola Superior de Engenharia e Gestão, part of the ETAPA Educational Group, was evaluated with the highest possible score (5) in the National Student Performance Examination (Enade 2015), released this Tuesday, March 8th, by the National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (Inep/MEC).
Among the 1,806 Business Administration courses examined nationwide, ESEG's course presented the highest "Gross Score – Overall": 71.3. The Gross Score is composed of the General Education Score (25%) and the Specific Knowledge Score (75%). Only 88 Business Administration courses achieved the maximum score on the ENADE exam – equivalent to 4.9% of the total. In the city of São Paulo, the only Higher Education institutions offering Business Administration with a score of 5 are ESEG, FGV, Insper, FIA, Trevisan, and ESPM.
In 2017, ESEG celebrates 10 years of activity with its two main undergraduate courses (Business Administration and Production Engineering) distinguished with the highest possible score in the evaluation carried out by the MEC (Brazilian Ministry of Education). In the 2014 ENADE (National Student Performance Exam), the Production Engineering course was also evaluated with a score of 5, positioning itself among the best in the field in the country.
“The result reflects the success of our educational project, which is based on the constant pursuit of excellence. This is a fundamental value of the ETAPA Group, which was extended from Basic Education to Higher Education through the creation of the college 10 years ago,” says Professor Silvia Boarin, coordinator of ESEG.
According to Professor Silvia, the Business Administration course at ESEG was designed to train excellent professionals, capable of solving complex problems, thinking critically, analyzing situations systemically, working in teams, communicating clearly, and acting with a focus on company results. "The professional trained by ESEG is also aware of their role in society. We need new leaders with ethical values and sensitivity to social and environmental issues," she concludes.
The National Student Performance Examination (Enade) assesses the performance of graduating students in relation to the program content, skills, and competencies acquired during their studies. The first Enade was administered in 2004, and the maximum frequency of the assessment is every three years for each area of knowledge.
