The launch ceremony for the 10th edition of the ESEG Management Award, in partnership with Centro Paula Souza, took place this Friday (10). In 2019, the Award will have a central theme focused on Artificial Intelligence. The series of lectures began with ESEG professor Luiz Fernando Durão, who spoke about Artificial Intelligence in relation to the growth of the concept of smart cities and new work dynamics. Following him, professor Fernando Jardim explained how socio-emotional skills are essential to differentiate humans and machines and about the role of education in stimulating these skills.
In the afternoon, presentations were given by Professor Emilena Lorezon, vice-superintendent director of the Centro Paula Souza, who spoke about multiple intelligences and the job market; and by Tsen Chung Kang, who lectured on professional training in the age of Artificial Intelligence.
The science competition is aimed at students from technical schools administered by the Centro Paula Souza. Registered students will have the opportunity to present projects with creative solutions for improving processes or products. Registration is open until August 12th.
