Undergraduate students were welcomed with great care at the start of in-person classes at the Faculty.
The start of an academic year is always full of expectations, and for the freshmen at ESEG – Faculdade do Grupo Etapa, it was no different.
On Monday, February 21st, the new students were welcomed by Professor Marcelo Dias at the institution's Paraíso Campus. Dias spoke with the students about the undergraduate programs, explained how ESEG's projects work, and highlighted their unique features.
During the inaugural class, the professor presented the seven Research Centers, the Student Support Sector, the partnerships with international institutions, and also explained about the Career Development Center which, in addition to publicizing job openings and articles on relevant topics in the corporate world, promotes mock interviews, preparing students for any type of dynamic or selection process.

The course coordinators, Prof. Dr. Fernando Umezu (Economics) and Prof. Dr. Fernando Henriques (Law), also introduced themselves and spoke a little about what ESEG can offer students, the projects they will have throughout their undergraduate studies, the interdisciplinary aspects, and how they can count on all the pedagogical support to ensure they receive the best possible education.
Next, professors Pablo Ganassim and Gabriel Nogueira welcomed the students and wished them a year of achievements and learning. Following the initial presentation, the students proceeded to their classrooms to begin their academic journey.
Klaudia Traldi, a law student, is excited about this new professional journey. "I hope to acquire the necessary knowledge and secure a good position in the job market, and here at ESEG I will discover the area of law that best suits me," says Klaudia.
Felipe do Nascimento Santos, a freshman in Computer Engineering, came to the Etapa Group College seeking a strong educational program. "Among all the options, ESEG offered a curriculum that I liked best, meeting my expectations for the course.".
João Lima da Silva, currently studying Economics, said that the main reasons for choosing the course and the university were the organization, structure, and location, and that he hopes the degree will help him become an entrepreneur soon.
Giovanna da Silva Lima, a freshman in the Business Administration program, hopes to broaden her knowledge, as she works in the investment sector. "I'm eager to start the course because Business Administration is a very broad field, and I want to learn everything the profession can offer me.".
For Lucas Antunes Peca, a Production Engineering student, the first day of class was a fresh start. "I studied at ESEG for two months before, and what motivated me to choose the college again was its infrastructure and the MEC (Ministry of Education) evaluations, which gives me confidence in the institution," says Lucas.
