What is a research center?

The research centers are groups formed by students and supervising professors, who conduct academic research with proposals for joint investigations.

The goal of these Centers is to promote scientific initiation by creating conditions for the development of academic research framed within different areas of concentration.

Research is one of the pillars of ESEG. Therefore, we encourage our students through Research Centers in different areas. Focused on multidisciplinary development, all our Centers are open to students, regardless of their major.

Center for Applied Creativity

O Center for Applied Creativity at ESEG It has four pillars fully aligned with the new demands of the job market: prototyping, design thinking, user experience, and maker culture.

Students from all majors can register to form research and scientific initiation groups at the Creativity Center. After all, this is an area that adds value to professionals from all degree programs.  

Economics and Finance Center

The Core of Economics and Finance at ESEG It allows students to conduct academic research related to personal finance, corporate finance, and the financial market. Students can also participate in seminars, debates, and academic simulations, putting their learning into practice.

Entrepreneurship Center

O entrepreneurship Entrepreneurship is the key player in today's job market. Having an entrepreneurial attitude is a major competitive advantage for those who want to start their own business, as well as for those who want to work for large companies.  

O Entrepreneurship Center of ESEG It focuses on the creation and management of businesses. The best part is that students can have contact with the management of real companies, as the Center is open to the community and provides support to micro and small businesses.

Center for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics

The objective of the research ESEG's Center for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics It's about understanding how technology and artificial intelligence can help solve societal issues and positively impact people's lives. 

The Center published an article about the use of Artificial intelligence in the fight against Covid-19.

Working at the interfaces of disciplines such as Statistics, Programming Languages, Prototyping, Robotics, and the Internet of Things, the Center has partnerships with the Advanced Institute for Artificial Intelligence (AI2) and IBM.

Logistics Center

O ESEG Logistics Center aims to stimulate research that contributes to logistics and its operations, always addressing current and relevant topics for society such as The influence of Covid-19 on Logistics.  

The Center has two research areas: the construction of indicators and forms of real-time evaluation; and the development of cabotage (navigation between ports without losing sight of the coast) in Brazil.

Sustainability Center

Being sustainable is no longer a differentiator, but an obligation. Large organizations are increasingly seeking alternatives that address environmental, economic, and social needs. 

With that in mind, the ESEG Sustainability Center It aims to promote research and development of sustainable initiatives to address current issues.
