Driven by technological advancements, the job market is constantly transforming. Among the most significant changes is the emergence of new work models: remote and hybrid. But what are the advantages and disadvantages of these formats for companies and professionals? Keep reading and find out!

What is remote work?

Remote work is an employment model in which the employee performs their professional activities remotely, making use of... technology to connect with colleagues, managers, and clients. This type of work was already becoming popular in Brazil and gained even more momentum due to pandemic-related restrictions in early 2020.

In this regard, offering a remote job can be an excellent solution to broaden the pool of candidates.

Magazine showed that 94% of remote professionals recommend this work modality. for friends and family. The research also indicated that 9 out of 10 respondents plan to continue working remotely. for the rest of their careers.  

The most frequently cited benefits were: flexibility during the workday, the possibility of passing more time with family, The opportunity to travel more frequently and a better work environment. Another important point is the chance to live away from large urban centers, in places where the quality and cost of living are more advantageous. 

What is hybrid work?

As the name suggests, hybrid work combines in-person and remote activities. A professional with a hybrid schedule might work three days a week remotely. home office and two days at the company headquarters, for example. This option provides the best of both worlds for employees and companies.  

Advantages of hybrid work

Hybrid work is ideal for companies and professionals who want to enjoy the benefits of remote work but don't want to give up face-to-face meetings for alignment and activity planning. This modality tends to improve communication and organizational processes, as well as keep employees engaged and motivated.
