Practical learning
A ESEG College, The Etapa Group has been intensifying its research and initiatives in the field of Artificial Intelligence, encouraging projects involving this branch of technology. Therefore, the institution has the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (LIA) as part of its infrastructure.
Understanding that Artificial Intelligence will guide technological development and profoundly modify the labor market, ESEG works to familiarize students with the topic while they are still in undergraduate studies.
Furthermore, the Institution recognizes that not only will areas intrinsically related to technology be affected, but all other areas will also be transformed by machines capable of learning.
With the goal of preparing students for this reality and anticipating the evolution of the corporate world, LIA is open to all students from all courses.
Recently, the ESEG passed to integrate the AI2, a consortium formed by educational institutions and companies that have been committed to conducting research on Artificial Intelligence.
At ESEG College, part of the Etapa Group, students develop projects in the Technological Innovation Laboratory (LITE). Opened in 2017, the space has a complete structure for creating prototypes and developing projects. Ideas are put into practice from the initial design to the final product.
Creativity, combined with technology, has been driving the maker movement and the "do it yourself" culture. LITE is a laboratory with modern equipment, such as 3D printers, CNC milling machines, laser cutting machines, a lathe, a plotter printer, a paint booth, welding equipment, and computers for creating and modeling parts.
At ESEG College, part of the Etapa Group, students have access to a complete infrastructure to enhance their learning. Classrooms offer laptops for academic use, as well as a modern computer lab with internet access for research and project development.
The Robotics Laboratory integrates areas such as Computing, Electronics, and Mechanics, enabling the automation of processes with greater efficiency, precision, and quality. Essential for industry and increasingly present in services, finance, security, and medicine, robotics expands professional opportunities.
At ESEG, the goal is to provide students with access to spaces for experimentation, research, and projects in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, available to all courses by appointment.
The Legal Practice Center (NPJ) of the ESEG Faculty, part of the Etapa Group, is the environment where legal practice activities are developed and coordinated, supervising the Legal Practice and Supervised Internship disciplines of the Law course.
The space functions as a laboratory for legal activities, enabling students from the seventh semester of the course onwards – a mandatory process at this stage, but optional from the first semester – to strengthen the link between legal theory and practice in its most varied forms.
With the aim of promoting an immersive experience and generating a connection between the physical and digital worlds, the ESEG Law course also benefits from the Juristta platform.
Furthermore, the platform offers a virtual forum in the metaverse, modeled after real-world environments, enabling simulations and debates.
All of this is designed to enhance legal training and promote strong and innovative education for students, fully aligned with market needs.
Through the Legal Practice Center, students have the opportunity to experience environments that combine theory and practice, encompassing digital transformation, with an emphasis on digital literacy and technology-mediated remote access. In this way, students graduate prepared for the real-world challenges of the professional world.
