On September 14th and 15th, another edition of Simula ESEG 2026 took place, an event promoted by Simone Bortoletto, coordinator of... Career Development Center (CDC), which aims to prepare students for the job market.
The event serves as preparation for the Career Fair, where students seek internship opportunities.
The first day focused more on the theoretical part, where Simone talked about how to put together an attractive resume, showing essential and unnecessary facts to include, as well as the order of assembly and data, contacts, formatting, experiences, courses, extracurricular activities, and so on.
The coordinator also highlighted how to use LinkedIn, teaching what types of posts to make, timing tips, tagging, hashtags, and the appropriate language. All of this served to prepare the students for the job market, acting as a "first step" before securing job interviews.
“Simula ESEG is an event that shows how we can enhance our resumes in a practically personalized activity, for each individual, and also provides preparation for job interviews. I believe this will greatly help me enter and develop further in the job market,” highlights Gabriel Piza, a law student.
The second day was marked by tips on what to expect from a selection process, as well as a simulation of applying for a real job, followed by a mock job interview.
The activity encouraged participants to imagine themselves in a real-life conversation with a recruiter, opening up opportunities to identify mistakes and areas for improvement that will make a difference in a real-life situation.
For Gabriela Freire, a law student, participating in the ESEG Simulation is a differentiating factor that greatly helps in preparing for the future: “Actions like this are very important because often, when we research how to behave in an interview, how to write a resume, about positioning ourselves on LinkedIn, we always find generic and often outdated information. Here at ESEG, I saw that the preparation is very different in relation to this, and the information is very useful and that I haven't found elsewhere. So, I am very grateful and very happy to have participated in the Career Fair.”
The Career Development Center is a key differentiator of the academic training at ESEG College, which is always seeking the best strategies not only to place its students in the job market, but also to help them stand out nationally and internationally.
