Gabriel began his professional journey at Gerdau, a multinational company in the steel sector, working with a focus on operational excellence. It was at this time that he had his first contact with data analysis applied to the day-to-day business.
Subsequently, he joined Bradesco, where he worked in strategic planning. This experience contributed to the development of a more hybrid profile, combining business acumen with data analysis, a skill that is increasingly valued in the market.
“"This phase was essential to consolidate my way of thinking, always connecting data with generating value for the business," Gabriel points out.
Following this experience, Gabriel was hired by Banco Votorantim as a junior data analyst, further deepening his technical skills and strategic vision.
Currently at Itaú Unibanco, she works as a senior analyst in Data Analytics, focusing on planning, data analysis, and operational efficiency. Her daily work involves transforming data into relevant insights and supporting strategic decisions within the organization.
For Gabriel, the main factor in his career growth was developing a profile that goes beyond technical knowledge.
“I believe my distinguishing feature was combining knowledge of data with business acumen. Furthermore, I sought to be communicative and transform analyses into clear and actionable insights,” explains the student.
According to him, the ability to position himself, participate in strategic discussions, and have a proactive stance was also fundamental to his evolution to his current position.
When asked about ESEG's role in his career path, Gabriel said that he was exposed to subjects important to his work, especially those focused on data analysis, logic, and structured reasoning. He added that many of these subjects were aligned with the job market.
Gabriel also had contact with Career Development Center (CDC) At the beginning of the journey, receiving guidance that helped bring more clarity to the possible career paths.
For those starting their undergraduate studies, Gabriel offers some straightforward advice:
“"Develop a communicative profile. The market values professionals who know how to position themselves, understand the business, and explain the impact of what they are doing," he added.
He further emphasized that even in technical fields like technology and data, it's essential to understand the purpose of the analyses and the value they generate for companies; this will make you stand out among other professionals.
Stories like Gabriel's show how the combination of technical knowledge, strategic vision, and the development of soft skills can boost a career.
ESEG College encourages its students to develop this well-rounded profile, preparing professionals for the real challenges of the job market.
