ESEG College, part of the Etapa Group, was represented by its students and professors at the opening of Global Money Week (GMW), held on March 16, 2026, at B3, the Brazilian stock exchange.
The visit took place at the invitation of B3 and included the presence of professors Edison Feghali and Maurício Nakahodo, who accompanied a group of incoming Economics students — most of whom were participants in the Finance League.
The event began with the participation of the President of B3, the Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM), and the Planejar Institute, officially marking the opening of the global week dedicated to financial education.
Next, the participants witnessed the traditional ringing of the bell, a symbolic moment that represents the beginning of activities in the financial market.
For the students, the experience was a unique opportunity to broaden their perspective on the sector and get closer to professional practice.
According to Guilherme Chaves Nardim, a student of Economics course, The initiative by ESEG and B3 to bring the students provided a new perspective on the market: “It was a very important moment for us students, as we were able to gain a broader view of the market and understand that it can be simpler. Financial literacy can be for everyone.”.
Following the opening ceremony, the event featured a panel discussion on the challenges of a career in the financial market, bringing together experts in the field, such as influencer Arthurito Faria Lima and the Human Resources Director of B3, Renata Caffaro. During the conversation, skills, career paths, and practical tips for young people interested in entering the sector were discussed.
The program also included a presentation by Google's Head of Strategic Insights, Renata Blay, who shared relevant data on the financial habits and behaviors of the Brazilian population, based on research conducted on the platform.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for interaction with the audience, including the participation of Vitória Quissak, a student at ESEG, who asked a question to the speakers.
For Felipe Lagranha de Andrade, a first-semester Economics student, the contact with market professionals was one of the highlights of the experience. “It was a very good experience. Through the lectures, we were able to connect with leading professionals in the market. This strengthens our understanding not only of the importance of money in our lives, but also of how we want to structure our careers in the long term,” he emphasized.
Participation in Global Money Week reinforces the commitment of ESEG College by providing practical experiences and direct connection with the market, contributing to the training of professionals who are better prepared and aware of the role of finance in their personal and professional journeys.
