ESEG welcomes the Director of Duquesne University to foster closer ties between the institutions.

On November 25th, ESEG College, part of the Etapa Group, received a visit from Sarah Souza, Director of Duquesne University in Pittsburgh (USA), for a meeting that addressed possibilities for institutional cooperation, such as faculty and student mobility between the institutions, as well as joint academic projects.

Founded in 1842, Duquesne University is a renowned private Catholic university dedicated to teaching and research, offering undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs, as well as specialization courses in Education, Business, Engineering, and Health.certificates) and micro credentials. It is ranked 151st among national universities in the US, and 56th in best value.

During the visit, Sarah was welcomed by Vanessa Martins, Manager of ESEG International, and Marisa Bolzan, International Relations Analyst and representative of EducationUSA at ESEG, who took her on a tour where she could learn about the college's facilities, our values, and what makes us different—factors that greatly appeal to the American institution.

“There is an interest in expanding the presence of Brazilians on the Duquesne University campus and, through closer relationships, they saw similarities in ESEG, which also treats students individually and works extensively on ethical issues in all areas. Therefore, they saw in our institution values compatible with their own,” Vanessa explains regarding the topics discussed at the meeting.

Upon learning more about our culture and way of operating, such as our close relationship with students and the inclusion of English in the curriculum, the American Director was impressed and understood the importance of these unique features offered by ESEG, recognizing the benefits of a partnership between institutions.

“Sarah really liked the fact that we are close to the students, offering support for their overall development, in addition to offering courses in English, which makes our institution very attractive to an American university,” she concludes.

Through visits like this, ESEG College continues to seek to strengthen its relationship with Duquesne University for future collaborations between the parties, reinforcing our commitment to our greatest project: the future of our students.
