Students visit the Ágora Investimentos brokerage firm.

On June 6th, students from the Administration, Economics, and Engineering courses at ESEG College participated in a visit to Ágora Investimentos brokerage, a Bradesco Group brokerage, in an activity promoted by the ESEG Financial Market League. The visit aimed to bring students closer to the financial market and the professional environment.

“Getting to know Ágora has been a very enriching experience, since participating in these events gives us other perspectives on the field of work. Even being in Engineering, it adds a lot to my future,” explains Victor Lima, a Production Engineering student.

The program included an immersion session led by professionals from the brokerage firm, including a comprehensive lecture on the investment landscape and the main financial products available on the market. There was also a brief immersion into the daily operations of a brokerage firm and how the work environment functions for those wishing to pursue a career as a broker. During the meeting, students actively participated with questions and interactions that, in addition to enriching the experience, added to their learning.

Besides their recurring participation, the students took the opportunity to talk about the experience itself. This is the case of Cosme Leandro, a law student, who commented on ESEG from the perspective of someone who came from another institution: “ESEG is exceptional, with incredible professors and top-notch facilities. The fact that we can participate in events like today's visit only shows ESEG's commitment and seriousness towards our development.”

At the end of the visit, participants were able to tour Ágora's facilities and structures and gain a better understanding of the dynamics of the different areas that make up the brokerage firm, further strengthening the connection between theory and market practice, and reinforcing ESEG College's commitment to the professional future of our students.
