Professional Journey: Business Administration Student Shares His Professional Development Story

In his final semester of Business Administration at ESEG College, part of the Etapa Group, Renê Camargo works as an Inside Sales Analyst at Farmtech, a fintech digital rural credit.

The young man began as a sales and marketing intern in 2022 at OI Americas South. Ready to experience other opportunities, in 2023 he joined Bayer Crop Science as an intern in the Financial Solutions area. Then, in 2024, he applied for the position of Junior Inside Sales Analyst at Farmtech, a role he currently holds.

Looking back, Renê observes his evolution over the years: “Currently, I see myself as a much more mature person compared to when I started my undergraduate studies, mainly due to the experiences I've had in the job market and the application of the concepts learned during my degree in Business Administration.”.

During his academic journey here at ESEG College, Renê was able to expand his knowledge, personal and professional development through his experiences with other students and also, as he points out, through the rich experience with the professors: “The professors play a fundamental role in inspiring students. Their advice and the sharing of professional experiences contribute to the decision-making we encounter throughout our professional careers.”. 

Another detail that the student highlights as part of their progress is the classes with practical examples, which make the subjects more dynamic. "I see that interactive classes contribute significantly to retaining students' attention and to the exchange of knowledge among everyone in the room, which makes the academic dynamic very rich," they comment.

In his daily academic life, Renê noticed the relevance of the topic of employability and the importance that ESEG College gives to this issue from the first years of the student's education. This happens not only because of the concern to offer a high-level education aligned with market trends, but also in guiding and preparing the student for their first job or professional relocation.

“"The college has always shown great concern for the employability of its students, from publicizing opportunities to sharing tips," comments the young man, recalling actions developed by the Career Development Center (CDC) of the ESEG College.
