With the aim of improving the relationship between students and the job market, ESEG College is holding a Lecture Series featuring relevant professionals and the main trends in the current market.

On the evening of March 27th, the first lecture of the 2025 Cycle took place with... Vicente Carrari, Sales Director of Spotify Brazil. Students at ESEG College had the opportunity to delve into the world of streaming with the lecture. “"The Spotify Business: How Music and Podcast Brands and Markets Work Together"”.

The event, held at the Ana Rosa Campus, was led by Filippe Barros, a professor in the Administration and Economics programs, who highlighted the importance of the event for the academic and professional development of the students. The main purpose of these lectures is to provide a broader perspective on essential topics in the world of Technology and Business, preparing students for the challenges of the market.

In his presentation, Vicente Carrari addressed the transformations brought about by streaming in the consumption of music and podcasts, highlighting the role of technology and artificial intelligence in personalizing user experiences. He also emphasized Brazil's prominent position, with the second largest Spotify audience in the world.

Carrari explained how the platform's playlists are created by curators attentive to trends and emphasized the impact of new musical discoveries for artists and listeners. According to him, before the digital age, music was distributed via CDs and vinyl records, while today the experience is completely integrated into the online world. The executive also recalled the initial challenges of Spotify's business model, which required innovation and investment to consolidate.

In addition to exploring the digital audio market, Carrari shared his professional journey. Despite being the son of physicists, he wanted to work in advertising from a young age. He then shared with the students the challenges of starting his career and highlighted the importance of staying updated and adaptable, regardless of the field.

One of his most memorable speeches offered inspiring advice to the students. “I always knew what I was passionate about. Having goals in my life and knowing where I wanted to go, I managed to reconcile what I loved with what I knew. This is fundamental in building your career, because it's impossible to compete with someone who knows and loves what they do,” the professional emphasized.

At the end of the presentation, the audience had the opportunity to interact with the director of Spotify Brazil through a question and answer session, making the moment even more dynamic and enriching.

Closing the event, Professor Filippe reinforced the relevance of the Lecture Series for the personal and professional growth of the students. "The expectation is that the reflections of this evening will broaden perspectives and encourage each of our students to seek new opportunities and solutions for the challenges of the future," the professor emphasized.

ESEG College continues to provide experiences that connect its students to the market and the trends shaping the future of professions. Therefore, the next lecture in the series is already scheduled: April 15th, with Edson Ito, Market Analysis Manager at Embraer, on the topic "The challenges and opportunities of the aerospace market in the current scenario". More information coming soon.
