Business Administration and Accounting Sciences in the ESEG Orientation Cycle

On the second day of presentations in the ESEG Orientation Cycle for students of the Etapa Course, professors and guest professionals discussed the careers in Administration and Accounting Sciences.

Representative of the Regional Administration Council of São Paulo, Antonio Carlos Cassarro (pictured) said that all professional activities need an administrator: “The Administration professional is essential for everything. At a time like the one the country is facing, it is especially important to organize the objectives and actions necessary to overcome the crisis.”.

ESEG professor Renato Ceconello spoke about the applications of Accounting Sciences in the job market and about undergraduate courses in the area, which today rank 3rd in the ranking of courses with the largest number of educational institutions in Brazil. "If Administration is going to help change the country's landscape, Accounting Sciences will play a fundamental role, as they help to plan, record, and document business transactions.".

To compose the panel discussion, professionals from both areas were invited: Cirlene Oliari Casteluber, from the company Ágil Contabilidade; Ítalo Barboza, from DuPont Brasil; Vinícius de Almeida, from Hospital 9 de Julho; Fábio Camlot, from Danone; Fábio Oshiro Menani, from Bradesco; and Romero Inez, from the Central Bank of Brazil. Also participating from ESEG were professors Pablo Ganassim and Silvia Boarin, and the psychopedagogue and HR specialist Jaqueline Angelotti.

The students asked questions about courses, specialization options, internships, entering the job market, public service careers, and other topics related to both fields.
