“"To ensure competitiveness, it is necessary to adapt to exponential changes," says a guest speaker at the ESEG Inaugural Lecture.
Jairo Martins da Silva, executive president of the National Quality Foundation (FNQ), commented on the trends impacting the job market.
On the 13th, Jairo Martins da Silva, executive president of the National Quality Foundation (FNQ), gave a keynote lecture to Production Engineering students at ESEG. An electronics engineer graduated from the Technological Institute of Aeronautics (ITA), with experience in companies in Brazil and abroad, Jairo presented the lecture "Management for transformation: agenda in scenarios of exponential change".
“Companies need to be aware of trends to avoid crises caused by changes in consumption patterns. Anticipating scenarios is a skill that requires executives to have good management of organizational processes, so this competence should be developed during college,” he says.

For him, career planning is another topic that should be considered from the beginning of professional life, especially because of the impacts of the so-called fourth industrial revolution. “Being a competitive professional means being chosen, whether for an interview or a promotion. And, for that, the student needs to always be aware of trends in their area of specialization to promote transformations in the company and in society,” he concludes.
