The office seeks to promote student exchange programs at Grupo Etapa and American universities.
Last Thursday, July 7th, at its Paraíso campus, ESEG – Faculdade do Grupo Etapa hosted a meeting between Grupo Etapa and members of the United States consulate for the inauguration of the new EducationUSA office. Located near the Ana Rosa campus, the office will serve students from both Colégio Etapa and the college.
With the goal of facilitating the student exchange process, EducationUSA is a network of the U.S. Department of State that seeks to advise students and facilitate access to information about study opportunities in the United States, whether in undergraduate, graduate, intensive English courses, summer courses, among others, in addition to providing financial assistance to low-income youth through the Academic Opportunities program.

Lee Satterfield, Assistant Secretary of State for Educational and Cultural Affairs, says she is very pleased with the partnership and wants to continue encouraging students to study abroad. “When we work collectively, we solve global challenges because we bring our best minds together. It is in the connection between people that we can solve these problems. And we look forward to expanding these opportunities,” she said.
