On March 12th, AgroESEG, the Agribusiness League – an initiative of the ESEG Tech & Business program – held its first meeting of the year, which marked the presentation of its activities to new members.
The League brings together students interested in deepening their study of the contemporary challenges of agribusiness. Composed of undergraduate students from the institution's programs, its aim is to promote a multidisciplinary learning environment, encouraging in-depth study of strategic sector topics and the collective construction of knowledge through projects and academic activities.
Led by administration professor Edison Feghali and ArgoESEG president Guilherme Moreno, a student in the Production Engineering course, the group shared with the participants the goals of the initiative and the League's perspectives for the start of activities this year.
During the meeting, collaborative projects with other companies were also presented. Institutions, the development of learning pathways, meetings with professionals, and technical visits aimed at bridging the gap between the university and the market.
Guilherme Moreno commented on the initiative: “AgroESEG was created as a space for exchange, learning, and the collective construction of knowledge. Our goal is to bring students closer to the dynamics and challenges of the sector, promoting development that integrates different areas of study and addresses market demands,” said the student.
In addition to deepening technical and scientific knowledge, participation in the activities stimulates the development of desired and expected skills for professional training, such as leadership, teamwork, strategic thinking, and analytical skills in complex environments, commonly known as soft skills. The relevance of these activities is also connected to ESEG's educational proposal, which encourages projects capable of expanding academic experiences and stimulating student leadership.
During the presentation of activities to the new members, Professor Luiz Neves, coordinator of Educational Projects at ESEG, also highlighted the importance of these initiatives for the training of future professionals: “The Agribusiness League, through the ESEG Tech & Business program, is an important space for deepening the academic and professional training of students. It provides opportunities to participate in in-depth studies, events, and other formative activities in one of the main areas of the Brazilian economy,” comments Luiz.
With the arrival of new members interested in participating in AgroESEG, the board began its activities with enthusiasm and anticipation for the expansion of projects, academic initiatives, and connections that strengthen the educational environment and broaden the integration between academia and the market.
ESEG College supports academic initiatives because it understands that experiences of this nature broaden the students' educational process, stimulating student leadership, interdisciplinarity, and connection with the challenges of the professional world, contributing to the development of professionals with a systemic vision and preparedness to work in different sectors of the economy.
