As part of the program of Faculty Mobility at ESEG, Leonardo David Quintiliano, a law professor at ESEG Faculty, part of the Etapa Group, participated in a meeting at the International Research Centre on Artificial Intelligence (IRCAI), a UNESCO-affiliated center based in Ljubljana, Slovenia, to discuss international cooperation with ESEG.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss opportunities for international cooperation between ESEG and IRCAI, including the development of joint academic projects, knowledge exchange, promotion of events and debates on Artificial Intelligence, as well as future research, innovation and education initiatives focused on contemporary societal challenges.

“The meeting was extremely productive and allowed us to advance concrete discussions on opportunities for academic and scientific cooperation between ESEG and IRCAI. We discussed ways of working together, including with the USP Artificial Intelligence Center, which acts as one of IRCAI's national contact points in Brazil, aiming at the development of congresses, seminars, events, and training programs on topics of great relevance to the São Paulo academic community and the market, such as regulatory sandboxes, data governance, digital infrastructure, data centers, and the use of AI in health and education,” explains the professor.

In addition to Professor Leonardo Quintiliano, those participating in the meeting included João Carlos Pitta, researcher at IRCAI; Mitja Jermol, researcher and one of the main leaders of IRCAI, with international experience in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Education, Open Educational Resources, Circular Economy and Sustainable Development; and guest Layla Palis Pinheiro, Advisor for Economic Affairs at the Embassy of Slovenia in Brazil.

This initiative reinforces ESEG's commitment to internationalization, academic excellence, and building strategic partnerships with world-renowned institutions in the areas of technology, innovation, and education.
