The college welcomes students from invited schools to the ESEG Experience.

On May 5th, 7th, and 9th, ESEG College, part of the Etapa Group, held the first edition of the ESEG Experience for invited schools. During the event, 3rd-year high school students had the opportunity to participate in group competitions that tested their talent, knowledge, and discussion on topics specifically prepared for each day: Law, Business, and Engineering.

Experience Law

On May 5th, the first day of the competition took place, with the theme of Law, where students participated in a simulation of a real legal debate on... Cyberbullying. The groups were able to simulate a discussion, where each opponent defended their side, using valid arguments to convince the jury, composed of ESEG professors, to rule in their favor.

“It was a fantastic experience to get an idea of what it’s like to work in the field of Law,” says student Pedro Henrique Oliveira, from ETEC Camargo Aranha. His colleague, Miguel Barros, also found the experience at ESEG sensational: “We experienced what Law is like. This helped us a lot and fostered our future, giving us a solid foundation.”. 

Both students, along with Guilherme Martins da Silva, were part of the winning team in the competition, representing ETEC Camargo Aranha.

Business Experience

On May 7th, the Business area competition took place. Students were challenged to manage a chocolate company and lead it to first place among its competitors. Each group "founded" a fictitious company, and the organizations faced each other in several rounds with the goal of becoming the market leader. Each round presented different challenges to the participants, who had to be creative to overcome the situation and stand out from the others.

“We conducted an incredible activity where students had to manage a chocolate factory. Each group was responsible for managing its own fictional company, simulating six months of market operation,” explains Professor José Guilherme Campos, coordinator of the Administration course at ESEG College.

Guilherme Liborio, a student at Colégio Integração, was grateful for the opportunity to participate in this truly immersive experience in the field of Business. “The experience was sensational. Our group started far behind, but then we caught up and applied what we learned to turn the tables and come out victorious,” the student recounted enthusiastically.

The winners from Colégio Integração were Gabriel Oliveira Rovay, Guilherme Irponi Liborio, and Matheus Silva Matias Medeiros.

Experience Engineering

The final day (May 9th) featured a fierce competition in the field of Engineering. Students participated in a production process simulation and then in a robot battle.

According to João Neto, a professor of Production Engineering at ESEG, the initiative allowed young people to understand firsthand how production systems work, to delve deeper into programming languages, and also into computer science.

In the robot battle, the groups were encouraged to develop code for a combat game between tanks. The teams of programmers had the chance to create code to fight each other. The last "survivor" was crowned the grand winner.

“The challenges were a lot of fun, and at the same time, we learned and put into practice what we were doing,” explains Tayla Hengler, a student at Colégio São Luís. Her classmate Nicolas Monari also enjoyed the experience and praised the institution's facilities: “My experience here was simply incredible! The facilities are wonderful. I had never seen anything at this level!”.

The following students emerged as winners of the Experience ESEG – Engineering competition: Guilherme Alexandre Lourenço Gonçalves, Guilherme Bezerra da Silva, Kauany Vitoria Souza Manoel, Nicolas dos Santos Monari, and Tayla Hengler, representing Colégio São Luiz.

Awards

At the end of each day of the event, the winning groups were recognized and each member was awarded a scholarship of 100% for one of the undergraduate programs at ESEG College, starting in the next semester.

The supervising teachers from each winning school took home an Alexa, and each school received a 3D printer. 

The awards ceremony successfully concluded the rich experience that each young person was able to enjoy during each of the events. 

The ESEG Experience, in addition to bringing young people closer to the reality of the job market in each area, demonstrates the high-quality education that the College offers its students.
