On November 13th, ESEG College hosted the event to present the results of... HR Census 2025, promoted by WallJobs, a recruitment and employability platform.

This year, in partnership with the students of Junior Enterprise of ESEG, The study brought up a topic of great relevance: The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in people management.

Students from ESEG were responsible for developing a unique set of questions about how AI is transforming the processes of Recruitment, Selection, Development, and Engagement in companies.

Event featuring the results and insights from the 2025 HR Census.

In addition to presenting the study data, the event also offered practical insights on How to apply AI in HR to support strategic decisions, identify talent, and optimize processes.

At the event, WallJobs founder Henrique Calandra emphasized: “When we talk about AI, the central point is no longer whether it will become part of our routine, but how we will integrate it without losing what makes us human.”.

Calandra further emphasized that technology does not replace humans, but rather enhances the performance of professionals, highlighting the importance of learning to work in conjunction with AI.

Among the most discussed examples of AI use in HR, the following stand out:

  • The importance of considering AI as an employee that performs simple and routine tasks;
  • The use of technology to analyze candidate profiles and identify if they align with the company culture;
  • The need to create internal policies that guide the ethical, responsible, and efficient use of AI in the corporate environment.

The discussions also indicated that companies that resist adopting these technologies may face greater challenges in remaining competitive in the market, due to reduced efficiency and thus a loss of competitiveness in the future.

Interactive Dynamics

To conclude the meeting, attendees participated in an interactive activity where HR professionals were invited to propose ideas for applying Artificial Intelligence to boost motivation in hybrid models or in the return to in-person work.

The proposals were discussed with the speakers and organizers, promoting a rich exchange of experiences and perspectives on the future of the sector.

AI in Recruitment and Selection

During the event, exclusive data was presented on the The use of Artificial Intelligence in recruitment and selection processes.

According to the 2025 HR Census, 751,300 HR professionals already use AI in their routines, both personal and professional. However, most still only apply the technology to operational and bureaucratic tasks, failing to explore its strategic potential.

The presentation of the results also included the participation of Professor Edgard Rodrigues, faculty leader of the Junior Enterprise at ESEG., He emphasized that Artificial Intelligence will not replace humans, but will act as a support tool for more assertive decisions. "Professionals understand that the final decision will remain in the hands of people, especially in the final stages of selection processes, dismissals, and promotions," he noted.

Therefore, the sector is still seeking a balance between automation and human sensitivity, especially in situations that require empathy, such as shutdowns.

Among the most cited applications at the event is the use of AI for resume analysis and cross-referencing behavioral data, accelerating processes and improving hiring choices.
