On Saturday, February 21st, ESEG College, part of the Etapa Group, celebrated a very special moment in the lives of our students: graduation. The graduation ceremony for the Administration, Law, Economics, Computer Engineering, and Production Engineering classes of the second semester of 2025 brought together students, family members, guests, and academics in a ceremony held in Auditorium B2, on the Ana Rosa Campus.

The graduates were welcomed in their graduation gowns, and a moment was dedicated to taking official photos to immortalize this unique occasion. Enthusiastic about the ceremony, David Mota, a Production Engineering graduate, shared his experience at the institution, speaking about how prepared he feels for the challenges of the real world: “The university was a foundation for me, because it was here that I was able to learn a lot from the best professionals and leave ready for the job market, able to overcome its challenges.”.

Shortly before the ceremony officially began, it was possible to notice the diverse emotions of the graduates, who shared moments, memories, laughter, and tears—a mix that summarizes the years of study that strengthened bonds and concluded in a beautiful cycle. For Arthur Maia, from the Economics course, who has already participated in the Professional Journey, "Those four years of routine at the college provided great moments. This experience will certainly add a lot to my professional future. Several challenges were overcome, and I was able to develop personally and professionally here at ESEG," she highlighted.

Graduation ceremony

The ceremony was attended by the Coordinator of Educational Projects, Luiz Alberto Neves Filho, who became emotional when speaking about the graduates: “It is important to emphasize that graduation is a moment of celebration of a journey, which is not the end, but one of the stages. Now it is time to reflect on the next steps with the responsibilities that will be assumed as graduates,” he stressed.

Also present at the table, professors and graduation speakers formed a special group for the students:

After the graduates entered and the National Anthem was played, the professors gave speeches about the importance of this moment. Following this, the student speakers took to the stage and became emotional as they shared their memories of their years at ESEG, memories that will be forever etched in their hearts.

Robson Pereira, an Economics professor, expressed his feelings about being part of this final graduation stage. “It’s a great joy to be here on this festive day. I look back and remember all the students” efforts, which serves as a reflection for what lies ahead,“ said the professor, who took the opportunity to highlight the importance of the professionals involved in each student’s education. ”ESEG and its entire staff, along with all the employees, worked very hard to ensure that these graduates followed this path to a successful career,” he added.

The event was marked by the traditional presentation of roses to parents as a sign of respect and gratitude for their support throughout the academic journey. Following this, the graduates took their professional oaths, and then received symbolic diplomas.

To conclude the ceremony, the students who excelled and were recognized for their graduation projects were called to the front of the stage:

Best Graduation Project – Business AdministrationGiovanna da Silva Lima, for the work "How do entrepreneurs build and consolidate relationships with stakeholders during the initial stages of business creation? A systematic literature review", developed under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Filippe Delarissa Barros.

Best Undergraduate Thesis – LawGiuliana Ricci Graton, for the work "The deductibility of internal goodwill under the aegis of Law No. 9,532/97 and its application in the context of the jurisprudence of the Superior Court of Justice", developed under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Raphael Assef Lavez.

Best Undergraduate Thesis – EconomicsAlberto Lucio Barbosa Junior, for the work "Event study on market power in the energy sector: an ex-post analysis of the Eneva-Celsepar operation", developed under the guidance of Prof. PhD. Eduardo Kiyoshi Tonooka.

Best Graduation Project – Production Engineering: Yuji Goya, for the work “Demand forecasting for postgraduate courses in the health field”, developed under the guidance of Prof. PhD. João Chang Jr.

They were also recognized as the best. Academic Excellence Throughout their journeys, the students:

Gabriel Gutierrez, one of the honorees of the day, expressed his gratitude for being recognized for his merit: “I was very happy to receive this tribute and award. It is an incredible moment, and being honored by the teachers at the end of this cycle of many battles and achievements makes me very honored.”.

These awards reflect the commitment, talent, and constant pursuit of excellence of each student. In addition to the physical certificate, the award-winning graduates also received a digital recognition badge, known as [name of badge]. badge, which serves as an official indicator of merit, competence, and skill acquired during training at ESEG College.

To conclude in style, the graduates took their official graduation photo, tossing their caps high in the air, symbolizing the completion of a cycle of many lessons and achievements.
