Law students from ESEG visit the 18th Notary Office of Ipiranga.

On Saturday, June 21st, law students from ESEG College, part of the Etapa Group, participated in a technical visit to the Civil Registry of Natural Persons – 18th Registry Office of Ipiranga. The activity included 12 students from both day and night classes, enrolled between the 1st and 6th semesters, accompanied by Professor Dr. Luciana Chiavoloni de Andrade Jardim and the Course Coordinator, Professor Dr. Fernando do Couto Henriques Jr.

The visit was led by Dr. Karine Maria Famer Rocha Boselli, Registry Officer, former president of ARPEN/SP, and Master and Doctor from USP. The specialist gave an introductory lecture on the work of Notaries, Registrars, and Public Registry Officers, highlighting the essential role that registry offices play in the civil life of citizens and the relevance of public faith, delegated by the State through the Courts of Justice.

In addition to the theoretical presentation, the students had the opportunity to visit all the facilities of the registry office, including archives, registration books, and different public service areas. One of the most memorable moments was observing the celebration of a civil marriage, during which the students were able to observe the procedures and records required in such a solemn act.

The prospective professionals also deepened their knowledge of the various types of civil registrations and their formal peculiarities, connecting the theoretical content of the General Theory of Civil Law discipline to the practice observed during the visit.

This activity demonstrates ESEG's commitment to the comprehensive education of its students, providing experiences that connect theory and practice from the first semesters of their undergraduate studies. For the Faculty, experiences like this are fundamental for consolidating learning and developing the critical and professional vision of the students.
