To inspire, challenge, and transform talent into performance: it was with this spirit that Faculdade ESEG, part of the Etapa Group, held a preparatory simulation on May 20th to ensure its students are ready for programming competitions.
The action is part of the initiative. Speedy Coders, This project, part of the ESEG Tech & Business program, focuses primarily on preparing students for the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC) Programming Marathon, which takes place annually.
During the activity, the students were divided into groups of three and faced a series of logic and programming challenges within a time limit, simulating the same conditions as the official competition. The exercise required agility, quick thinking, and teamwork.
“This was the first mock exam for this group, with the aim of preparing and familiarizing them with the competition,” explains the Computer Engineering professor and leader of the initiative, Bruno Moritani.
The experience served as an important gauge for the students to understand the pace and challenges of the competition. For Rafaela Castro, a Computer Engineering student, the activity was very interesting, especially to get an idea of what it will be like on the day of the competition. "I think the fact that we had so little time was crazy, and for the championship, we saw that we will have to be more prepared," she pointed out.
Another participant, Miguel Vieira, also reinforced the importance of training: “I thought the project idea was very good, especially the preparation part. It was clear how much we need to prepare for the real competition, because time is short and there's also the pressure. It was rewarding to develop and see the results working out.”.
New meetings will be held in the coming months, with the full support of ESEG College, which remains committed to offering its students practical opportunities to excel in major academic and professional challenges.
