Students from ESEG – Faculdade do Grupo Etapa receive Data Science certificate.

Starting in the second semester of 2022, students entering four undergraduate programs will receive certification upon completion of their course.

ESEG – Faculdade do Grupo Etapa, in its constant pursuit of presenting the best and most up-to-date content, offers students in the Administration, Economics, Computer Engineering, and Production Engineering programs subjects that, together, are equivalent to a medium-length course in Data Science. These subjects are:

First semester: Statistics, R programming language, and Python.
2nd semester: Data Science I
3rd semester: Data Science II: SQL, databases and Big data
4th semester: Data Science III: data visualization and storytelling

Professor Marcelo Dias, the general coordinator of the undergraduate program, explains that ESEG always seeks to anticipate the needs of the professional environment. "The job market has been demanding a lot from qualified professionals in this area, and therefore we have this additional advantage for our students, who already have excellent professors specializing in the aforementioned subjects," says Dias.

To receive the Data Science certification at the end of the 4th semester, enrolled students simply need to complete and pass the listed courses. The certificate is valid for new students enrolling from the second semester of 2022 onwards.
