ESEG College held, on the day March 5th, the first meeting of the program Accelerate your career., an initiative of the Career Development Center (CDC) aimed at strengthening essential skills for the professional market.
The program brings together a limited group of students from different courses and semesters who wish to achieve... Permanent position after internship or professional growth., combining reflection, practical activities and monitoring throughout the year.
“We opted to work with a smaller number of students in this program precisely to ensure closer and more individualized monitoring. This way, we can better understand each participant's situation, guide their choices, and support the development of a more consistent career plan throughout the project,” he emphasizes. The inaugural lecture was conducted by Simone It had a light, fun, and participatory format, designed to get to know the students and stimulate reflection from the start.
Right from the first activities, students were invited to look at themselves, identify personal characteristics, and share points they consider challenges or aspects to develop.
The relaxed atmosphere fostered interaction among participants, who felt comfortable discussing their professional experiences and expectations.
During the meeting, Simone also provided initial guidance on professional behavior and contributed practical insights to help students begin reflecting on their career decisions.
To Michele Cavalcante Cruz, A sixth-semester Economics student, participating in the program represents an opportunity to gain more clarity about her next professional steps. “I signed up because I already knew the Career Development Center and had already gone through a consulting process with them. When this proposal came up, I thought: I need this, some guidance. I was applying for internships and getting confused about which area to choose. Having someone guiding me through this whole process makes a big difference. For me, it's a start to my career,” the student emphasized.
O Accelerate your career. It has a total workload of 18 hours and will be held between March and November 2026, with weekly in-person meetings on Thursdays and individual meetings by appointment.

At the next meeting, participants will delve deeper into the topic. self-knowledge and career, starting the defining a structured career plan, with clear goals and practical actions, developed with the support of the program coordination.
This type of initiative also helps students who are pursuing a second degree and considering a career transition, as is the case with this student. Luciana Aparecida Sobirai Diaz, which is in 1st semester of Law and already has a degree in Psychology.
“I chose this course because I need guidance to make a career transition from Psychology to Law. Many of the questions that came up today are ones I had never stopped to think about, such as what my purpose is, where I want to go, and what kind of work environment I want to be in. After 20 years of experience, I believe I can choose differently now,” she noted.
With this initiative, ESEG expands the support offered to students, integrating personal development, career planning, and closer ties with the job market.
At the end of the program, participants also go through mentoring sessions and may be recommended for opportunities at partner companies through the Institution's talent pool.
