The winning projects of the ESEG Management Award were announced this Wednesday, October 24th, at a ceremony at the headquarters of the Centro Paula Souza in São Paulo. The projects were awarded in four categories: Industrial Controls and Processes, Management, Health, and Information Technology and Infrastructure. Students from Centro Paula Souza who will complete their High School, Integrated Technical High School, Modular, Distance Technical, and Higher Education programs in 2018 participated in the competition.
The winner in the Industrial Controls and Processes category was the project “Study of the Pine Cone of 'Pinus Elliotti' as a Natural Fertilizer‘, developed by students Giovana dos Santos, Isabela Gomes, and Raquel da Silva. Under the guidance of Professor Edna Faria de Almeida, from ETEC Júlio de Mesquita, the work tested the use of the pine cone as a substitute for fertilizers in plant growth, especially lettuce.
In the Management category, the winners were Larissa Rufato, Matheus Diverno, and Paulo Krempel, from ETEC Antônio de Pádua Cardoso. Guided by Professor Abelardo Oliveira, the students presented the project “PODERATUE: A Rich Union between Technicians and Companies”. Motivated by assisting the hiring process of technicians by companies in Batatais, the group created a tool capable of integrating the reality of companies with the knowledge offered in technical courses.
“Autonomous Braking System in the Subway” was the winning project in the Information Technology and Infrastructure category. The work was produced by students Marina Lima and Thales Carvalho, under the guidance of teacher Luiz Fernando Badinhan, from ETEC Bento Quirino. The school also won the award in the Health category, with the work “Vegetable Gardens for Areas with Food Deficits”, by students Ana Paula Medeiros, Felipe Dias and Luiza Ribeiro, guided by teacher Jun Suzuki.
The initiative by ESEG, in partnership with Centro Paula Souza, aims to give students the opportunity to present projects with creative solutions for improving processes or products, using a wide variety of tools, considering the theme that should involve Engineering and Management.
