Professional Journey: Computer Engineering Student Shares His Experience at Accenture

Starting a career at a world-renowned multinational company is a milestone for any student. For Colin Lucas Batista Beluco, a 6th-semester Computer Engineering student at ESEG College, the experience at Accenture has been synonymous with learning, challenges, and personal and professional growth.

Working in Business Operations since the beginning of August, he has already noticed significant improvements in his way of thinking, organizing, and acting in his daily corporate life. “The market demands strategy, organization, enthusiasm, and purpose. I am learning to be more agile and to broaden my vision with new ideas and tools,” says Colin.

In his view, the training offered by ESEG has been essential for this maturation. The pedagogical model, which integrates theory and practice, creates a solid preparation environment for the market. “The tools acquired and effective communication are points that I apply daily. I have been putting my learning into practice every day, making the most of the available resources to have good career development. It's exciting to deal with real problems, similar to the cases studied in class, and to find solutions that go beyond the technical aspect, also requiring strategic and creative thinking,” the student emphasizes.

Even though he's only been with the company for a short time, Colin already sees a leap in his professional attitude and believes this evolution is the result of a combination of dedication and institutional support. For him, projects, seminars, and evaluations at the Faculty were fundamental to his pursuit of ever greater challenges. “I see ESEG as a key piece in my development. The CDC (Career Development Center) offers accessible and comprehensive support, and the professors are the bridge to understanding what companies really expect from students,” he observes.

In addition to an updated curriculum, ESEG College focuses on initiatives aimed at employability, offering mock interviews, exclusive lectures, and individualized mentoring. For Colin, this set of actions expands the possibilities for growth. "Whether it's to gain academic experience, obtain technical certifications, or prepare for a selection process, ESEG offers all these resources in an integrated way," he emphasizes.

With the experience gained so far, Colin reinforces the importance of facing the academic and professional journey with determination, leaving a message for current or future colleagues: “Study with focus and have clear goals. The professors and the entire Faculty team are partners who want to see your progress. Challenges exist, but each stage brings valuable lessons that make a difference in the future.”.
